First of all, Dai Yu, some say that she hanged herself, some say that she died by sinking into the lake, some say that she died in tears, which ending is the most reliable, which ending is most in line with Cao Gong's original intention?
Dai Yu was a Daizhu fairy in her previous life, and in her next life, she was to repay the grace of the god Ying waiter, so she had to shed the tears of this life to repay the favor of the god Ying waiter.
Therefore, according to the normal plot development, Daiyu's final ending is to die in tears, the tears are exhausted, and when the grace is finished, she will return to the too illusory realm and continue to be her Daizhu fairy.
However, under the influence of the continuation text and the ghost book, many people believe that Dai Yu still deeply hated Bao Yu before her death, or that since she was "hanging a jade belt on the wood" as foretold in the sentence, she was obviously hanging herself.
In fact, there are many hints about Daiyu's ending in the original text, such as Cao Gong writing about Daiyu's illness many times, and also explaining the fact that Daiyu's condition has worsened through plots such as Madame Wang's questioning about her condition. In fact, this is also a foreshadowing for Daiyu's later death.
On a more occasion, Dai Yu told Bao Yu that recently she only felt sad, and her tears seemed to be much less than in previous years. In fact, this is also the foreshadowing that Dai Yu will die in tears soon.
In fact, from the moment Dai Yu entered the Jia Mansion, Cao Gong explained the fate of Dai Yu in this life. When her illness was going to get better, she was never allowed to cry unless she never cried from now on. Except for their parents, all those whose surnames are relatives and friends are gone, and only then can they be safe in this life.
These two methods that can ensure that Daiyu's life is safe, Dai Yu did not abide by one, she not only met Baoyu with a foreign surname, the two of them recognized the frontier of the frontier, but also produced a deep affection, and Dai Yu also because of his tears perennial, it can be said that autumn flows to winter, spring flows to summer.
This has already doomed the end of Daiyu, and Li Yanzhai also revealed that Daiyu was finally the end of "dying in tears", these four words revealed two pieces of information, one of which was that Dai Yu was not hanged, not thrown into the lake, but because of frailty and illness and tears for many years, and finally died of tears. Second, since she died prematurely, that is, when Dai Yu died, she was still very young, she did not die of old age, not accidental death, but died of illness at a young age.
Because of Daiyu's sentence of "Cold Moon Burying Flower Soul" and her title of "Xiaoxiang Concubine", it is a bit far-fetched to think that she eventually threw herself into the water and died like Empress Dowager Ying. Cao Gong took the canon of Xiao Xiang's concubines, not in the whole thing, but with his tears more than Daiyu.
And when Dai Yu buried the flowers, he saw Bao Yu throwing the petals in the water, and also said: It is not good to be in the water, you see that the water here is clean, only the first class goes out, and some people's places are dirty and smelly, and the flowers are still ruined. Therefore, the ice-clear jade Dai Yu could not throw herself into the water and die.
What about hanging? This is probably not something that the delicate Lin sister can do, and from the perspective of literary beauty, Cao Gong cannot arrange such an ending for Lin Daiyu. She could only die in tears. In fact, the purpose of the Daizhu Fairy's next life is very simple, that is, to return the tears, the tears are finished, and she and the Divine Ying Attendant will not owe each other, there are no messy extraneous branches.
Speaking of Baochao, the ending of Baochao, there are also many theories, such as early death, old death, and remarriage, but one thing is for sure, after Baoyu cliff gave up his hand to become a monk, Baochao, like Li Feng, survived to two sideburns into frost.
Some people believe that she died early according to Baochao's judgment "buried in the snow of the golden hairpin", and even when she died, it was snowing heavily and buried the body. The original was two strands, but the hairpin was only one, so the real implication buried in the snow of the golden hairpin should refer to the fact that the treasure was finally left alone.
As for the remarriage theory, there are many people who misread the Red Chamber, according to Jia Yucun's poem "Bao Yu Yu Stays in the Inner Circle and Flying", it is believed that Bao Chao remarried to Jia Yu Village after Bao Yu left home, which is a bit absurd, not to mention that Bao Chao, who has always observed feudal etiquette, could not have done this, that is, Cao Gong, would not arrange such a dog blood plot.
Under Cao Gong's pen, Jia YuCun can take JiaoXing, and even correct it, but Cao Gong will never let another heroine of the Dream of the Red Chamber eventually commit herself to the adulterous Male Jia Yu Village, don't say that Bao Sister will not agree, Cao Gong will not agree, that is, Bao Yu is a monk, Bao Chao wants to remarry, and jia fu such a court cannot agree.
In fact, the ending of Baochao has long been written in the lantern riddle of her Lantern Festival in Jia Fu that year, and Baochao's lantern riddle has these words: Jiao Shou Dynasty is still twilight, and the heart is fried day after day. Time flies, and the wind and rain can change.
This is obviously to write about the current situation of BaoChao's life after Baoyu's renunciation, she is alone, frying her heart, day by day, year after year, until her red face is old and her sideburns are white. With Baochao's wisdom in life and her attitude towards life, even if Baoyu is out of the family, she will not remarry, and she will not think of self-seeking short-sightedness, but will only live well.
In summary, Dai Yu, who will still be in tears in the next life, will eventually end up dying in tears. And BaoChao, who married Baoyu and was abandoned, the final true end is to end up alone.
