According to the WeChat public account of the Henan Provincial Health Commission, at 0-24:00 on January 4, there were 4 new local confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia in Henan Province (1 case in Zhengzhou City, 1 case in Zhoukou City; 2 cases in Xuchang City were confirmed by asymptomatic infected people); 18 new cases of local asymptomatic infection (9 cases in Zhengzhou City, 8 cases in Xuchang City, and 1 case in Zhoukou City); no new suspected cases.

From January 21, 2020 to 24:00 on January 4, 2022, Henan Province has reported a cumulative total of 1,654 confirmed cases (1,524 local cases and 130 imported cases), and 34 existing hospitalized cases (27 cases in china and 7 cases imported from abroad). There are 50 asymptomatic infected people under medical observation (43 cases in china and 7 cases imported from abroad). A total of 50,002 close contacts have been traced, and 887 close contacts are under observation.
