In the history of the Qing Dynasty, there were two famous figures, although they did not have the name of husband and wife, but they spread a poignant love story. When the Shunzhi Emperor ascended the throne at an early age, the regent Dorgon monopolized power, and he had three opportunities to become emperor, but he did not seize it. According to legend, for the sake of his beloved woman, Dorgon gave up the opportunity to ascend to the throne, so what kind of magic did Xiaozhuang have that made Dorgon, who ruled the world, give up the great country?
1. The marriage that passed by
Dorgon was born on October 25, 1612, the 40th year of the Wanli Calendar , and Xiaozhuang was born on the eighth day of the first month of February in the 41st year of the Wanli Calendar , and Dorgon was 103 days older than Xiaozhuang.
At that time, the upper-class nobles of Jianzhou to which Dorgon belonged were constantly married to the nobles of the Horqin Tribe, for example, Xiaozhuang's aunt Zhezhe married The Eighth Son of Nurhaci, Emperor Taiji, a year after Xiaozhuang was born, that is to say, according to the situation, the children of dorgon and Xiaozhuang, two nobles of similar age, were also very likely to be combined.
However, I don't know if it is a creation of people, or what is going on.
In the year when Dorgon was thirteen years old (1624), he married another woman in Korqin at the behest of his father, she was the daughter of Sanggar Zhaibele (granddaughter of Ming'an Belle), and in the second year of Dorgon's marriage (1625), the 13-year-old Xiaozhuang also married the eighth son of the Mandate of Heaven Khan Nurhaci, Emperor Taiji, on the orders of his parents, and began a career of serving with his aunt Zhezhe.
When Xiaozhuang married Huang Taiji, the first two women of Huang Taiji (Yuan Concubine and Step-Concubine) were no longer alive, and at that time, Huang Taiji's Great Fu Jin was Xiao Zhuang's aunt Zhe Zhe, in addition, Huang Taiji also had a side Fujin, that is, Yehenara.
In fact, this Yehenara clan is also a bitter man. She was originally a cousin of Emperor Taiji, and her father married Khalkama, a member of the Ural tribe, who knew that later Nurhaci attacked Yehebu and executed Yehenara's husband, Khalkama. Immediately, the Yehenara clan remarried to Emperor Taiji.
In the second year of Tiancong (1628), the fourth year of Xiaozhuang's marriage to Emperor Taiji, the side concubine Yehenara had just given birth to a son of Emperor Taiji, Shuosai, and was abandoned by Emperor Taiji. Subsequently, the Yehenara clan married the ministers Zhan Tushetu and Darhu, and eventually died in the Darhu family.
After the Yehenara clan was abandoned, Xiaozhuang became the second person in the Emperor Taiji Fujin, second only to his aunt Zhezhe.
2. Nishinomiya Fujin, who has been relegated three times in a row
In fact, at that time, The heirs of Emperor Taiji were not exuberant, and the first few Fujins also gave birth to three or four children for him, so Emperor Taiji was also facing the pressure of adding heirs, and the arrival of Xiaozhuang's aunt and nephew solved the urgent need.
From the tenth year of the Mandate of Heaven (1625) to the third year of Chongde (1638), the two aunts and nephews gave birth to seven children for Emperor Taiji, including a son and six daughters. In fact, from the perspective of the degree of pampering, it does not mean that if you are born more, you must be favored, and the reason why xiaozhuang aunts and nephews continue to give birth depends to a large extent on political factors.
You know, at that time, the Later Jin dynasty and the subsequent Qing Dynasty were at the time of opening up the territory, naturally in urgent need of allies to help, the Horqin department is their ally, in order to win over the Horqin department, the emperor Taiji put the main energy on the pair of nephews, so we see Xiaozhuang aunt and nephew continue to give birth.
However, Huang Taiji's attitude toward Xiaozhuang can be seen from the change in Xiaozhuang's position.
After the side concubine Yehenara was deposed by Emperor Taiji, Xiaozhuang, who was a side Fujin, ranked second among the emperor's wives and concubines. However, later, Emperor Taiji married two widows of Lin Dan Khan of the Chahar Department, Namu Zhong and Bat Ma Xuan, and the status of Xiaozhuang was reduced to the fourth, and later Emperor Taiji married Xiaozhuang's sister Hai lanzhu, so the status of Xiaozhuang fell to the fifth.
It can be seen from this that although Xiaozhuang gave birth to four children for Emperor Taiji, her status was far inferior to that of her sister Hai Lanzhu, who only gave birth to one son, so Emperor Taiji did not spoil Xiaozhuang much.
3. Ambiguous uncle-sister-in-law relationship
In August of the eighth year of Chongde (1643), Emperor Taiji died suddenly in Qingning Palace, and there was no heir designated before his death. Subsequently, the Rui prince Dorgon and the Prince of Su Hauge engaged in a fierce confrontation, and the two sides were once sword-fighting, which threatened to cause trouble.
Seeing that the situation was in a stalemate, Xiaozhuang saw the opportunity coming, so he "co-opted" Dorgon, who was only in his thirties at the time, which was the most stylish period for women, and after a few rounds, Dorgon agreed to assist Xiaozhuang's son Fu Lin to inherit the throne, but he had to be the regent himself, after all, Fu Lin was still a child who was only six years old at that time.
Some people may ask, what kind of magic does Xiaozhuang have that makes dolgun, who is invincible on the battlefield, fall under the pomegranate skirt? Some people may have seen Xiaozhuang's seated portrait of the imperial dress, which does not look very good, and even has a bit of a man's appearance, but if you have seen another restored picture of Xiaozhuang, you will naturally not think so.
Judging from the restoration map, Xiaozhuang is dressed in Mongolian costumes, and the eyebrows are permeated with the heroism that ordinary women do not have, and at the same time, they have the feminine posture that a woman should have, and she is a beautiful Mongolian beauty. How could Dorgon not be moved when he saw such a woman?
As a result, we see that Dorgon worked hard to lead the Eight Banners into the Forbidden City, at this time he still had the opportunity to claim the title of emperor, but in the end he let it go again, still supporting the growing young emperor Shunzhi. Until December of the seventh year of Shunzhi, when this generation of tyrants who had galloped in the northern lands died in Kara City, it was difficult for us to understand how Xiaozhuang felt when he heard the news, perhaps like in the TV series, and could not even cry.
However, this poignant love story ended in a tragic way. Soon after Dorgon's death, the Shunzhi Emperor carried out a thorough liquidation of him, not only stripping him of his title and clan membership, but even whipping him to death, perhaps in the shunzhi emperor's heart, in addition to the political hostility, it was also venting the ambiguous relationship between Dorgon and his mother Xiaozhuang.

Historically, Xiaozhuang and Dorgon were similar in age, and because of the origins between the tribes, there was actually a great chance of marriage, but the heavens made the biggest joke with them, one became a sister-in-law, the other became an uncle. Even so, the two seem to still have a broken and connected feeling, and it is this love that has made a young son of heaven, but also made Dorgon discredited after his death, perhaps this is the price of love.
