Compared with some soldiers and officers in Chiang Kai-shek's army, who only wanted to be soldiers and get paid, mixed food and drink, and indulged in decadence, Xiong Xianghui's heart of serving the country, his enthusiasm for blood, and his elegant style were regarded by Hu Zongnan as a model for Chiang Kai-shek's army and the hope of the War of Resistance.
In early May 1938, Hu Zongnan recommended Xiong Huiquan to study at the Seventh Branch of the Army Officer School. After the completion of his studies in March 1939, the talented Xiong Huiquan was quickly transferred to his side by Hu Zongnan, and rose from aide-de-camp to a confidential secretary, becoming his close confidant.

After gaining Hu Zongnan's trust, Xiong Xianghui once specifically asked Zhou Gong for instructions. Xiong Xianghui analyzed the movement of his troops by testing Hu Zongnan's tone, believing that Hu Zongnan had no plans to attack Yan'an for the time being, and that his main operational direction was still to strengthen river defenses, defend the Japanese army in the east, guard the gate of the northern line of Pinghan for Chongqing, and block the enemy's westward or southward advance. Hu Zongnan's movement is credible. With the strength of his troops, it was impossible to conduct a two-front battle. The main intention of the Japanese troops stationed in Tongguan and other places was to cooperate with the Japanese army attacking from east to west on the Yangtze River and capture Changsha, Hengyang and other places, thus forcing Chongqing to surrender. This also determined that Hu Zongnan would never dare to be distracted by the Eastern Imperial Japanese Army, and could only take care of this head first.

However, from 1943 onwards, major changes in the world situation, especially the easing of chongqing's pressure on Japan, led to a change in Chiang Kai-shek's attitude toward Yan'an, from "appeasement" to suppression. He also took the opportunity to publish a book entitled "The Destiny of China", slandering Yan'an's performance in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, creating a reason for the momentum of "advance and suppression", and threatening to solve internal problems within the year.
On the evening of June 1, 1943, Chiang personally held a meeting at his official residence to plot to suppress the Red Forces.
Subsequently, Hu Zongnan, a secret telegram of the Jiang clan, took a top-secret action, blitzed Yan'an, and captured the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region in one fell swoop.
After Hu Zongnan completed the military deployment, he officially determined on July 2 that the time for the blitzkrieg on Yan'an would be July 9, and reported to Chiang Kai-shek for approval.

The reason behind it lies in Xiong Xianghui. He relayed the information to secret contacts on July 3 and then sent it to Yan'an via the Eighth Route Army radio stationed in Xi'an.
Receiving this information from Xiong Xianghui, the Yan'an side made an exception to inform the world of Chiang Kai-shek's "treacherous plan" and exposed Chiang's crimes of sabotaging the anti-Japanese resistance and about to advance and provoke a civil war.

This incident occurred in May 1946, and hu Zongnan's preparations for a sneak attack on Yan'an could not be explained in detail with only one or two telegrams. If this notepad falls into the hands of the military commander, something big will happen. They can follow the "vine" of the word "bear" all the way to the "melon" of "Xiong Xianghui" next to Hu Zongnan. If Xiong Xianghui had exposed his identity at that time, then Yan'an's grasp of Hu Zongnan's movements would not have had such a powerful eyeliner.

Later, he found that he was not taken to the Secrecy Bureau for investigation, but was taken to Hu Zongnan's temporary office in Nanjing to discuss important matters with Hu.

At this moment, Xiong Xianghui was extremely anxious. In a hurry, he decided to violate the work rules and risk finding a trusted third party to hand it over on his behalf.
