This is the classic line in the "Moye Yan'an Ode" created by the Gaojia Opera Art Protection and Inheritance Center of Anxi County.
This story, which tells the story of Anxi's talented daughter Moye's pursuit of firm revolutionary convictions, won the first prize of the 28th Provincial Drama Festival.
In this play, Moye left Anxi at the age of 14 to study at Xiamen Ciqin Girls' High School, and later went to Shanghai to participate in the editorial work of Progressive Newspaper. In her days in Shanghai, she and Chen Cang met and loved each other, but in the end, because of the different beliefs of the two people, Moye followed the Fifth Brigade of Shanghai Anti-Japanese Drama to Yan'an and created the "Ode to Yan'an", which has been sung to this day.
Participating in the provincial drama performance, "Moye Yan'an Ode" was polished for at least three years.
The results of three years of grinding a sword are very gratifying, and we have an in-depth exchange with Xie Zhibin, director of the Gaojia Opera Art Protection and Inheritance Center of Anxi County, Lu Zhongwen, a national first-class director and director of "Moye Yan'an Song", and Guo Zonghua, an actor who plays Moye, in the form of interviews, to take everyone to understand the story behind this play.
In Xie Zhibin's view, it is both a responsibility and an obligation for anxi troupe to tell the story of Anxi's talented daughter Moye. But in fact, such a good result has been achieved, and there is also a certain controversy in the process of creating a rehearsal. This controversy is most directly reflected in why Moyer traveled to Xiamen.
In Gao Jia's play "Moye Yan'an Song", Moye went to Xiamen alone to study because he was dissatisfied with his father's arranged marriage. But historically, Moye followed his father to Xiamen.
Because you have to explain why Moye left Anxi for Xiamen, if the facts are followed, the conflict in the contradiction will be weak. Setting up such a plot is mainly considered from the aspect of contradictions and conflicts of the entire play. ”
For drama, contradiction and conflict are its soul. Without conflict, it is difficult to attract the audience to watch step by step.
In order to make the story full of suspense and impact, the main creative team continued to consult all parties, and finally chose Moye to take the initiative to go to Xiamen.
In order to make the whole play more twisty and turning, and the dramatic conflict more obvious, the story of Moye and the Kuomintang agent Chen Cang is also used as the main line to strengthen Moye's firm revolutionary belief.
In the fourth scene, Moye longs for communism, Chen Cang is a Kuomintang agent, and a strong conflict breaks out between the two when discussing whether to go to Yan'an, plus Moye's good sister Xiuhua is killed by the Kuomintang, and Moye packs his bags and leaves resolutely.
This scene impressed Moye's actor Guo Zonghua.
With two beams of lights, Moye and Chen Cang seemed to communicate silently. Chen Cang, who couldn't keep Moye, fired a shot into the sky, and the shooting was already very serious, but in the end she also said that nothing could stop me! ”
Moye's firm revolutionary belief runs through the beginning and end of this play, and guo Zonghua is very admired, and she believes that it is this firmness that makes Moye write the "Ode to Yan'an" that has been sung to this day.
Modern gaojia drama, in the eyes of the audience may be closer to life, there is a hint of drama shadow. So is it that the routine of the traditional high-armor drama cannot be used?
Director Lu Zhongwen rejected this statement.
"If you show it completely according to the modern stage, the stage behavior of modern people, the life of modern people, it is not a modern high-armor drama. In this play, we retain the representative clown performances of the high-armor drama on the villain, such as the puppet ugly and so on. It also added a lot of dance figures of gaojia opera, such as the big knife dance and the cotton sewing dance. Closely follow the plot to set off and highlight the character of Moyer. ”
"Ode to Yan'an" is a classic anti-war song, which is a concentrated summary and reflection of Yan'an's status as a "beacon" of the national spirit, and expresses the sincere feelings of millions of people yearning for Yan'an and loving Yan'an.
The modern Gaojia drama "Moye Yan'an Song" strengthens the contradictions and conflicts through modern interpretation, highlighting that no matter how opposed by the people around him, Moye still adheres to the revolutionary belief in his heart and firmly moves towards the road of Yan'an. This is Moye's persistence, and it is also the persistence of countless enthusiastic young people in that beacon era.
