On December 30th, the closing ceremony and debriefing performance of the 8th Fujian Arts Festival was held in Fuzhou, and Anxi Gaojia's red play "Moye Yan'an Song" won the first prize of the 28th Provincial Drama Festival, which is another honor won by Anxi Gaojia after the 7th Fujian Arts Festival "Li Guangdi" won the first prize of the 27th Provincial Drama Festival. Anxi County Gaojia Opera Art Protection and Inheritance Center is the only county-level theater group in the province that has won the first prize for two consecutive years.
The Fujian Arts Festival is held in Fuzhou from December 6 to December 28, hosted by the Fujian Provincial People's Government, and co-hosted by the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and the Provincial Radio and Television Bureau. The 28th Provincial Drama Festival is an important professional event of the Fujian Arts Festival, with a total of 38 newly created and excellent plays in the province, of which 11 in Quanzhou participated.
"Moye Yan'an Ode" tells the story of the revolutionary writer Moye who left his hometown at the age of 14 to go to Xiamen, Shanghai and then to Yan'an to participate in revolutionary work, and composed the lyrics of "Ode to Yan'an" at the age of 19. In the early 1930s, Chen Shuyuan, a young girl in Anxi, Fujian Province, opposed arranged marriages, changed her name to Bai Bing and ran away and engaged in anti-Japanese cultural work, after the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, she gave up her love and rushed to Yan'an without hesitation, and once again changed her name to Moye to participate in revolutionary work, and the plot reached a climax with the interpretation of the song "Ode to Yan'an".
It is understood that "Moye Yan'an Song" was created by Wang Wensheng, a national first-class screenwriter and vice chairman of the Fujian Dramatists Association, directed by Lu Zhongwen, a famous national theater director, and created by the Gaojia Opera Art Protection and Inheritance Center of Anxi County, and premiered in June 2021. Anxi County regards this work as a "red courseware" for the education of party members and the masses on ideals and beliefs, and presents the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.
Anxi Gaojia Drama Troupe was founded in the autumn of 1952 and transferred to the Anxi County Gaojia Opera Art Protection and Inheritance Center in April 2012. Since its establishment, the troupe has excavated, sorted out, transplanted and created a large number of excellent plays.
In 1983, the satirical comedy "Fengguan Dream" created by Gao Jia won the "National Excellent Script Award", won six awards for creation, directing, performance, music, stage and actor at the 15th Fujian Provincial Drama Festival, and the collective dragon set award, and went to Beijing Zhongnanhai to perform in 1985.
In 1995, the satirical comedy "Jade Bead String" was performed by Jinjing at the invitation of the Ministry of Culture and the China Drama Association, and won the "Five One Project" Award of the Central Propaganda Department, the "Screenwriting Award, The Director Award, the New Repertoire Award, the Performance Award" and the "Cao Yu Drama Literature Award" of the China Drama Association and the "Cao Yu Drama Literature Award" of the China Drama Association.
Since 1996, the troupe has created opera programs such as "Rats MarryIng Women" and "Group Ugly Performances", participated in CCTV's Spring Festival Gala, Xiqu Gala and other large-scale literary and art evening performances 18 times, and has been invited to Singapore, Kuwait, Malaysia, South Korea and other countries and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan for cultural exchange performances many times.
In 2018, the Anxi County Gaojia Drama Troupe was jointly awarded the title of "The Seventh National Advanced Collective for Serving Farmers and Serving Grassroots Cultural Construction" jointly awarded by the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Culture and the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television.
