The release schedule for the fourth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has changed many times since it was first announced in 2019.
Among them, the schedule changes of "Doctor Strange 2" and "Spider-Man: Homeless" have a considerable impact on these two films.
Originally, "Doctor Strange 2" was released before "Heroes Don't Return", but due to the epidemic, "Heroes Don't Return" came first.
This led to the script of "Heroes Of No Return" having to be changed.
In an interview with Variety, the two screenwriters revealed that the main change lies in Dr. Strange's understanding of the multiverse.
"We're actually 'cleaning up' what's going to happen in Doctor Strange 2, trying to incorporate them into our script."
"When we started writing the script, Dr. Strange knew the dangers of screwing up these things. Then we changed him to this, and he became a man who didn't know much about the multiverse. ”
"But that makes playing with time and space even more terrifying, because it's a fear of the unknown."
"Either way, Doctor Strange is rational, 'You can't mess with a person's fate—' and Peter Parker naively said, 'Why can't you?'" Why can't we save these people? ’”
If Doctor Strange had already learned about the horrors of the multiverse in the sequel movie of the same name, Then Homeless Might be a completely different story.
