"Jiang Ying's achievements in the art world are remarkable, the marriage between the two of them can be said to be a marriage of science and art, and the two have walked hand in hand for a long time after marriage.
The Hangzhou Qian family is a famous family in China, and its history can be traced back to the Wuyue king Qian Wei a thousand years ago. The Jiang family is not to mention a famous family in Jiangnan, and Jiang Ying's father is Jiang Baili, a famous military figure in China. The Qian family and the Jiang family can be regarded as family friends, and Jiang Baili and Qian Xuesen's father, Qian Junfu, are both classmates of Hangzhou Qiushi College. Jiang Baili married Zuo Mei, a nurse in Japan, and after the marriage they gave birth to 5 daughters. In this regard, only the only son Qian Xuesen Qian Junfu and his wife were extremely envious, so they consulted with Jiang Baili to pass on a daughter to the Qian family. Jiang Baili and his wife agreed, allowing their third daughter Jiang Ying to live in the Qian family, and she also changed her name to Qian Xueying, calling Qian Xuesen her brother.

Xiao Tong wrote in the Nineteen Ancient Poems: "With Sauvignon Blanc, the fate is incomprehensible. "The fate of Qian Xuesen and Jiang Ying was indeed planted very early. Qian Xuesen is 8 years older than Jiang Ying, jiang Ying was only 3 years old when she arrived at the family, and when she lived in the Jiang family, she had many sisters playing together. In the Qian family, the 11-year-old Xiao Qian Xuesen occasionally teased her occasionally, and the two children rarely played to a pile. When the two families gathered together, Jiang Ying and Qian Xuesen also sang a piece of "Yan Shuangfei" happily together. At that time, the two parents were very happy to see the cute child, and no one expected that this was the beginning of the marriage between the two.
After this gathering, Mrs. Jiang and Jiang Baili somewhat regretted agreeing to give Jiang Ying to the whole family, so after the two families discussed, the whole family took Jiang Ying back. Since then, Jiang Ying has called Qian Junfu and his wife Gan Dad and Gan Ma, and Qian Xuesen gan brother. Mrs. Qian liked Jiang Ying very much and jokingly said that she would want Jiang Ying to be her daughter-in-law in the future.

In the two teenagers did not get along much, and then the two grew older, in 1935, Qian Xuesen wanted to study abroad, Jiang Ying followed his parents to Qian's home to visit, when the 16-year-old Jiang Ying had developed a beautiful young girl, she also played a "Sonata in D major" for Qian Xuesen. This made Qian Xuesen deeply impressed and unforgettable. Before he left, Jiang Ying specially prepared a collection of Tang poems for him, and Qian Xuesen brought the book all the way to the United States.
Later, Jiang Ying also followed his father to study abroad, and in 1937 he entered the Berlin University of Music, after which Jiang Ying studied in Europe and performed for nearly 10 years, during which time he experienced war and flight. In 1944, Jiang Ying won the soprano competition at the Swiss International Music Festival, and after returning to China in 1946, she began to organize her own solo concerts. Finally, in May 1947, Jiang Ying successfully took the stage of her own concert at the Lyceum Theatre in Shanghai, accompanied by the famous pianist Magolinsky.
During this period, Qian Xuesen studied and researched at the California Institute of Technology after obtaining a master's degree, and continued to study aerospace theory, hoping to master aerospace theory as soon as possible and return to the motherland as soon as possible. The boring and busy study life made Qian Xuesen have no intention of talking about marriage and marriage, until 1947, when the 36-year-old Qian Xuesen returned to China after completing his studies.
This year, the two people, who had been separated for a long time, met again. Mrs. Qian also asked the Jiang family whether Jiang Ying already had a boyfriend, in fact, there were many suitors for Jiang Ying at that time, but she herself felt that there was no suitable. After the two returned to China, they met more frequently, and Jiang Ying was also very enthusiastic about introducing his girlfriend to Qian Xuesen, but Qian Xuesen was very shy, and only had to be much more comfortable when facing Jiang Ying.

Jiang Ying admired Qian Xuesen and felt that his achievements in science were very remarkable, and he was already a full professor at the age of 36. Qian Xuesen actually likes to speak English very much in his heart, but perhaps because of his shy personality, he did not break the window paper early, but just used the excuse to see that Aunt Jiang often ran to Jiang's house.
But Qian Xuesen will soon go to the United States to work again, and there is no time to continue to be shy, so he directly proposed to Jiang Ying with a red face, or should I marry you? And "inched in" hopes that she can follow her to the United States. Jiang Ying agreed without long thought, and in September 1947, Qian Xuesen and Jiang Ying held a wedding ceremony at the Peace Hotel on the banks of the Huangpu River.

Jiang Ying then accompanied Qian Xuesen to the United States, and in 1949, Qian Xuesen became a professor at the California Institute of Technology, and it was also in this year that New China was founded. The couple decided to return to China as soon as possible to serve their newborn motherland. However, as we all know, Qian Xuesen's road back to China is fraught with difficulties. The United States was simply unwilling to let go of the outstanding scientists who were "worthy of 5 divisions," and they also found an excuse to imprison Qian Xuesen. Until 1955, with the joint efforts of our government and people from all walks of life, Mr. and Mrs. Qian Xuesen finally returned to their motherland with one of their sons and daughters.
epilogue
In 2009, Qian Xuesen died at the age of 98, and in 2012, Jiang Ying also passed away at the age of 93. They have been together for 62 years, survived all kinds of hardships in life, and laughed at the rise of the motherland together. Such a fairy companion is really enviable.
