The relevant person in charge of Qingdao Mei kitchen food told reporters that the "Hema Cod Festival" was jointly held with Nanjing Hema Fresh, Norwegian Seafood Bureau and Marine Management Committee (MSC), mainly to promote sustainable and healthy deep-sea imported ingredients to Nanjing citizens, and consumers can clearly understand the health attributes of the purchased products by identifying the origin information on the product packaging or the "MSC Small Blue Fish" ecological logo, and can trace the fishery origin of the purchased goods.
Since 2020, Hema Fresh has held a number of marketing activities with the theme of "Sustainable Seafood" in major cities across the country together with MSC, and for the first time released Hema "Emperor Fresh" private brand seafood with the logo of "MSC Little Blue Fish". Jin Ou, regional general manager of Hema Fresh Ningxi, said that as of now, with the joint efforts of Suppliers such as Qingdao Mei kitchen, there are more than 20 seafood products that use the "MSC Small Bluefish Ecological Logo" in Hema Fresh Store, and the number of SKUs is gradually increasing. The "Little Bluefish Logo" on the packaging of these products marks that the product can be traced from source to table to every link in the supply chain, conveying the message of sustainable fishery products to consumers.
Yang Chen, marketing director of Qingdao Mei kitchen, said that as a 20-year aquatic product practitioner, he hopes to share seafood knowledge with consumers, promote healthy and green consumption awareness, and at the same time, hope to participate in protecting the marine ecological environment and ensuring the future supply of seafood.
In addition to the introduction of professional knowledge, chefs were also invited to demonstrate the opening of real cod, silver cod, black cod and cooking techniques.
