Tesla delivers more than 930,000 vehicles worldwide in 2021, up 87.4% year-on-year

At 0:00 a.m. Beijing time on January 3, Tesla's official website updated the delivery data for the last quarter of 2021, as well as the total number of deliveries for the whole year. According to the data, in the whole year of 2021, Tesla's global deliveries exceeded 930,000 vehicles, an increase of about 87.4% year-on-year, and more than 300,000 vehicles were delivered in the fourth quarter, setting a record delivery record again.

In terms of models, Model S and Model X deliveries were 11,750 units in the fourth quarter of 2021 (market estimate 12,719 units) and Model 3 and Model Y deliveries were 296,850 units (market estimate 254001 units). Full-year production of Model S and Model X models was 24,390 units with deliveries of 24,964 units, while production of Model 3 and Model Y was 906,032 units with deliveries of 911,208 units.

Tesla's net income and cash flow for the fourth quarter of 2021 will be reported in subsequent quarterly earnings along with other financial results. The final delivery figures can vary by 0.5% or more. Tesla deliveries are only a measure of a company's financial performance and should not be used as an indicator of quarterly financial performance, which depends on a variety of factors, including cost of sales, foreign exchange flows, and the proportion of directly leased cars.
