It's important to note that active road noise reduction is only available for Tesla's flagship models, the Model S sedan and the Model X SUV. This is because the feature is hardware-related, and if the feature is to be provided, an active noise-cancelling microphone must be installed on the front seat of the vehicle as part of the internal updates of the Model S and Model X, which are not currently installed in the Model 3 sedan and Model Y SUV (crossover).
However, according to a video of Tesla Model S driver Michael Hopewood driving on a rough gravel road (the video has been uploaded to Station B and Chewulin Weibo WeChat), Tesla's active road noise reduction function is still very subtle. He said that after enabling active road noise reduction during driving, he felt that the cabin experience was better, although the effect seemed to be very low-key (low-key).
