Full text: The beast that is born, born without being, for the sake of not being ashamed, long without slaughtering, is called Xuande.

Interpretation: The Tao gives birth to all things (the so-called "nameless, the beginning of heaven and earth"), nurtures all things (long, nurtures, tings, poisons, that is, the so-called "famous, the mother of all things"), although it gives birth to all things but does not possess, nurtures all things but does not bully, (all things naturally) grow and do not dominate, (knowing that the "Tao" has virtue but does not know what it comes out of, all things are born by themselves and do not know that they have a Master) This is called Xuande.

Exploration: "No", "No Shame", and "No Slaughter" There is no progressive relationship, but the order explains how the "Tao" is "born of the beast", and at the same time jointly explains the "Xuan" of "Xuande".

Words "born" and "long and long" seem to be enough, why do we still say "for nothing"? For the sake of long, in fact, it is said that the role of the mother of all things, that is, to conform to the development of all things without cutting, not to bully. It is precisely for this reason that after the whole text is understood, "zai" is regarded as "zai" and should not be "dominated".

Logic: Chapter 10 begins with self-cultivation (v. 10.1), expands to the political state (v. 10.2), and concludes with the distillation of the "virtue" of the "Tao" (v. 10.3).

Common encouragement: The Tao is not far away, everyone is far away, and although the virtue is mysterious, it can also be known.
