
In 1934, the fifth anti-"encirclement and suppression" campaign in the Central Soviet Region failed, and the main force of the Central Red Army was forced to start the Long March. Xiang Ying, Chen Yi, and others left behind to endure the crisis and engage in arduous guerrilla warfare with powerful enemies. In the three years of guerrilla warfare, the various guerrilla zones became the main fulcrums of the War of Resistance Against Japan, making the guerrillas one of the best anti-Japanese troops.
