Rongsheng's association with the Winter Olympics this time began half a year ago.

In August 2021, Rongmiao City Property, a subsidiary of Rongwanjia, successfully won the bid for the venue property service of the Zhangjiakou Competition Area of the Beijing Winter Olympics. For Rongwanjia, this is a major breakthrough in the field of social public services and can embark on the international stage.

From February 16 to 26, 2021, the first "Meet in Beijing" series of winter sports test activities for the Beijing Winter Olympics was held in Yanqing and Zhangjiakou. A month before that, Rong Wanjia had signed up for the Zhangjiakou Venue Test Match Support Event at the Beijing Winter Olympics.

According to Rong Wanjia's sharing, after receiving the property service demand of the Chongli Winter Olympics in Zhangjiakou, Rong Wanjia rushed to the field for the first time. After the inspection, the company quickly organized the dispatch of nearly 100 employees of Langfang, Handan and Cangzhou companies in Hebei to go to the work site of the Chongli Winter Olympic Games to clean the Winter Olympics and clean the waste.

Since then, daily cleaning, snow removal, septic tank cleaning, venue killing, garbage classification and transportation, etc., the National Cross-Country Ski Center, the National Ski Jumping Center, the National Biathlon Ski Center and other venues where the Beijing Winter Olympics are held, are all over the Rongwan family. The concept of the "Green Olympics" also forced the organizing committee to put into use a new energy electric vehicle that is cold enough to operate normally in an average -20 °C environment. In February 2017, Rongsheng Alliance Guli set up a research and development team and signed a cooperative development agreement with EC Power in the United States, announcing that it will jointly develop an all-climate battery system for electric vehicles for the environmental application of the Winter Olympic Games with the team of academician Sun Fengchun of Beijing Institute of Technology.

At low temperatures, power batteries are prone to performance degradation, reduced charging and discharging efficiency, and large polarization of working voltage, which leads to problems such as slow charging and short endurance of electric vehicles in low temperature conditions in winter. The all-climate battery technology has continuously improved its performance at low temperatures through continuous testing and testing.

Among them, the heating technology of the all-weather battery has been improved from 3 °C/min in 2017 to 7 °C/min in 2019, which makes the battery heated from -20 °C to 0 °C in less than 3 minutes, and the energy retention can be achieved at -25 °C after the battery is heated, and the vehicle's mileage has increased by 20%-30%, and it can be charged in 1 hour. And such performance has belonged to the world's leading level.

Such performance has also attracted the attention of a number of top car companies, including FAW Hongqi, BAIC, GAC, Foton Motor, Yutong Automobile and many other well-known car companies have established cooperative relations with Rongsheng Mengguli on this technology, at the same time, Daimler and Volkswagen and other international car manufacturers have cooperated and communicated with Rongsheng Mengguli on this technology, in addition, in the military field, the technology has been partially applied.

This technology was also tested by the Winter Olympics in early 2020. On January 19, 2020, Rongsheng Mengguli's new generation of all-climate power battery was tested and verified for -30 °C severe cold environment reliability. Rongsheng Mengguli's new generation of all-climate power battery system is equipped with a total of five models of Beiqi Foton pure electric bus, fuel cell bus and BAIC N60 pure electric passenger car, ready to meet the test of the Winter Olympic environment. In the environment of -30 °C, Rongsheng Mengguli successfully passed the test with the performance of the battery self-heating temperature rise rate of 7 °C/min.

Wu Ningning, deputy general manager of Rongsheng Mengguli, introduced that at present, the energy density of Rongsheng Mengguli all-climate battery system exceeds 159Wh/kg, which can operate normally at an ultra-wide ambient temperature of -40 °C-60 °C, and the self-heating speed of the battery reaches 7 °C/min at ultra-low ambient temperature, and the power consumption per 10 °C per liter of temperature is only 1.5% of the rated power, and the vehicle can be charged for 1 hour in a -40 °C environment after heating (SOC from 30% to 100%).

Feng Quanyu, chairman and general manager of Rongsheng Mengguli, said that the all-climate battery system developed by RongshengMeng Guli has completely solved the technical problems of slow charging, insufficient charging and poor performance of electric vehicles at low temperatures, and has broken through the forbidden area for the application of electric vehicles in extremely cold environments, which will play an important role in promoting the popularization and application of electric vehicles.

At the same time, this technology has also been affirmed by multiple authoritative institutions.

On October 19th, at the 27th Annual Meeting and Exhibition of the Society of Automotive Engineers of China hosted by the Society of Automotive Engineers of China, the project of "Key Technologies and Industrialization Applications of High-performance All-Climate Electric Bus Power Platform" co-ordinated by Rongsheng Mengguli won the first prize of the 2021 "China Automotive Industry Science and Technology Award" Science and Technology Progress Award.

The 2022 Winter Olympics are just around the corner. At that time, RongshengMeng Guli all-climate battery will be installed on 212 hydrogen fuel cell buses, walking in all corners of the Winter Olympics, guarding all moments of the Beijing Winter Olympics, and helping the successful holding of the Beijing Winter Olympics.
