Speaking of the Battle of MengLianggu, I think everyone is no stranger to it, it can be described as an unprecedented fierce battle. At that time, the Nationalist army launched a key attack on the Liberated Area of Shandong, and successively gathered more than 400,000 troops, in order to smash the enemy's plot, Huaye's 270,000 troops poured out and launched the famous Battle of Menglianggu. After three days and three nights of fierce fighting, HuaYe finally completely annihilated the reorganized 74th Division, killed the division commander Zhang Lingfu, and achieved a huge victory.

After the Battle of Menglianggu, Chiang Kai-shek was furious and almost shot Li Tianxia, who was passively rescuing. In fact, with the collapse of the 74th Division, Li Tianxia really could not get rid of it. Compared with Huang Baitao's desperate reinforcements, Li Tianxia can be regarded as "seeing death and not saving". But what is surprising is that in the Battle of Menglianggu, the 83rd Division commanded by Li Tianxia still had a regiment and the 74th Division coexisting and dying. Who is the regimental commander? Let's move on.
As we all know, the 74th Division was the main force of the First Corps of the Nationalist Army, and Li Tianxia's 83rd Division and Huang Baitao's 25th Division were responsible for cooperating with its attack, so after the outbreak of the Menglianggu Campaign, Li Tianxia's and Huang Baitao's troops were closest to the 74th Division. After learning that the 74th Division was surrounded, Chiang Kai-shek ordered reinforcements at all costs, and Huang Baitao was obedient and rushed forward at the risk of the troops being wiped out.
Li Tianxia only sent a company to approach the 74th Division with a radio before the war, pretending to be the 19th Brigade carrying cover, and ordered the 57th Regiment closest to the 74th Division to retreat at any time. The 57th Regiment was the worst-equipped part of the 83rd Division and was not strong in combat effectiveness. At that time, the regimental commander was Luo Wenlang, and in order not to become Li Tianxia's future scapegoat, he did not carry out the order to retreat, but came to Meng Lianggu with his troops and died with the 74th Division commanded by Zhang Lingfu.
As a result, everyone knows that in the desperate situation of running out of bullets, Zhang Lingfu still led his troops to fight the trapped beasts. Finally, under the fierce attack of HuaYe, the main position was completely lost, and the 74th Division was completely destroyed. As for the officers and men of the 57th Regiment of the 83rd Division, they either fell on the battlefield or were captured. The regimental commander, Luo Wenlang, did not die or commit suicide like most officers, but became a prisoner.
Later, Luo Wenlang was sent to reform and study, participated in the organization of instigating the uprising of the Nationalist army, and did some useful work for the peaceful uprising in Hunan. After liberation, Luo Wenlang served as a member of the Hunan Senate, Counselor and Member of the Kuomintang Revolutionary Committee, and his later years can be regarded as a consummation.
