Zhang Tingyu was born in 1672, and his father Zhang Ying was the humerus minister of the Qing Dynasty at that time. In 1700, the 28-year-old Zhang Tingyu was admitted to the Jinshi with his own efforts, and since then, he has entered the Hanlin Academy. At this time, Zhang Tingyu's father had already become the prime minister.
During the Kangxi dynasty, Zhang Tingyu had always been highly valued by the emperor, and he himself was very talented and extremely down-to-earth, so the Kangxi Emperor also liked him, and later Zhang Tingyu was always a confidant of Kangxi. In 1722, the Kangxi Emperor died, and Zhang Tingyu at this time was the official Zuo Shilang. After the death of the Kangxi Emperor, Yongzheng won the "Nine Sons and Concubines" at that time and successfully ascended to the throne.
Yongzheng is a person who recognizes Zhang Tingyu's talent, and in addition, Zhang Tingyu has been supporting Yongzheng in the previous "Nine Sons and Sisters". Therefore, after he ascended the throne, Yongzheng also began to reuse Zhang Tingyu. Zhang Tingyu was originally a talented person. Yongzheng specially invited Zhang Tingyu to be his children's teacher. In 1729, after Yongzheng set up the Military Aircraft Department, he made Zhang Tingyu and Yin Xiang both consular. The Military Aircraft Department was an institution of state secrets, containing a lot of state secrets, which showed the yongzheng Emperor's trust in Zhang Tingyu.
In 1735, the Yongzheng Emperor fell ill, and before his death, he made a special decree to let Zhang Tingyu deserve to enjoy the Taimiao Temple. It is a very high honor to enjoy the Taimiao Temple, and those who are in the Taimiao Temple are all to be worshiped by the emperor, which shows that the Yongzheng Emperor likes Zhang Tingyu. At this time, Zhang Tingyu can be said to be an extremely popular minister, and he is one of the top ministers in the court.
Subsequently, the Qianlong Emperor succeeded to the throne and also ordered Zhang Tingyu to be his own prince's teacher. At the beginning, the Qianlong Emperor attached great importance to Zhang Tingyu, but as time went on, Zhang Tingyu grew older, and the Qianlong Emperor did not treat Zhang Tingyu much. At this time, Zhang Tingyu also proposed to the Qianlong Emperor that he was already old, and he also had to tell the old man to return to his hometown and retire.
However, this Qianlong Emperor was also interesting, on the one hand, he did not treat people very well, on the other hand, when Zhang Tingyu proposed to tell the old man to return to his hometown, he was not happy to agree quickly. However, it can also be understood, after all, a courtier like Zhang Tingyu is still of great significance to this imperial court. However, this Tingyu had already made up his mind, and the emperor could not keep it. Therefore, Zhang Tingyu deliberately made his own request again when Qianlong's crown prince Yong Huang died prematurely.
Later, Zhang Tingyu deliberately provoked Qianlong, and finally, Qianlong was annoyed, so he took Zhang Tingyu's official titles and disqualified him from enjoying the Taimiao Temple. However, Zhang Tingyu's purpose was also achieved, so he happily returned home to retire.
Later, in the 50th year of the reign of the Qianlong Emperor, he discovered that Zhang Tingyu had left him with a piece of music and a pile of love documents, and Qianlong ci understood the reason why Zhang Tingyu had done that at that time: it was unfavorable to raise old courtiers like him in the palace. So Zhang Tingyu was restored to the honor of enjoying the Taimiao Temple, and I have to say that this Zhang Tingyu is indeed powerful.
