Chongqing Beast's father and girlfriend murdered their own young children

On December 28, 2021, the Fifth Intermediate People's Court of Chongqing Municipality publicly pronounced a verdict in the first instance on the case of intentional homicide and criminal incidental civil litigation by defendants Zhang Bo and Ye Chengchen in accordance with law, and sentenced Zhang Bo and Ye Chengchen to death for intentional homicide and deprived of political rights for life.

After the animal Beast Zhang Bo and Chen Meilin married in August 2017, they gave birth to daughter Zhang Moujia (victim, 2 years old) and son Zhang Mouyi (victim, died at 1 year old). Around April 2019, Zhang Bo filed for divorce while concealing the fact that he was married and had children to pursue netizen Ye Chengchen.

In August 2019, after Zhang Bo and Ye Chengchen privately established a romantic relationship, Ye Chengchen continued to associate with Zhang Bo although he learned that Zhang Bo had children. In February 2020, Zhang Bo and Chen Meilin agreed to divorce, and the two parties agreed that Zhang Moujia would be raised by Chen Meilin, Zhang Mouyi would be raised by Zhang Bo before the age of six, and Chen Meilin would be raised after the age of six.

Ye Chengchen repeatedly told Zhang Bo that he and his parents could not accept that Zhang Bo had a child, and the two conspired many times and agreed to kill Zhang Moujia and Zhang Mouyi by creating an accidental high fall. In June of the same year, Ye Chengchen used self-harm violence for a long time to force Zhang Bo to kill Zhang Moujia and Zhang Mouyi. On November 1, Zhang Bo tricked his ex-wife Chen Meilin into taking his sons to his home and staying overnight. At about 15:30 on the afternoon of the 2nd, Zhang Bo took advantage of the fact that there was no one else in the family and threw Zhang Moujia and Zhang Mouyi, who were playing in the second bedroom, from the bay window of the second bedroom downstairs, causing Zhang Moujia to die on the spot, and Zhang Mouyi died after being sent to the hospital for rescue.

At today's trial, Ye Chengchen and his defender mentioned many times that they hoped to give financial compensation to the victim's relatives, and Chen Meilin said in court that he would withdraw the attached civil lawsuit and demand that the second defendant be severely punished.
