On the evening of December 24, the traffic police brigade of the Liyang Municipal Public Security Bureau reported that at 12:16 on the 24th, Chen XX (male, 31 years old) drove a small car to take his wife Jiang XX (32 years old, all Liyang people) through the Xincheng Bridge in Liyang City, when he suddenly crashed into the guardrail on the east side of the bridge and fell into the river.
After receiving the report, the Liyang Municipal Public Security Bureau immediately organized police forces to rush to the scene to rescue them, and linked fire fighting, the "120" emergency center, the Blue Sky Rescue Team and the surrounding masses to rescue the 2 drivers and passengers on the car to the shore for medical rescue. Chen X died after rescue was ineffective, and Jiang X was in the rescue.
