At 12:16 on December 24, Chen Moumou (male, 31 years old) drove a small car to carry his wife Jiang Moumou (32 years old, all Liyang people) passing through the Xincheng Bridge in Liyang City, when he suddenly crashed into the guardrail on the east side of the bridge and fell into the river. After receiving the report, the Liyang Municipal Public Security Bureau immediately organized police forces to rush to the scene to rescue them, and linked fire fighting, the "120" emergency center, the Blue Sky Rescue Team and the surrounding masses to rescue the 2 drivers and passengers on the car to the shore for medical rescue.
At present, Mr. Chen died after ineffective rescue, Mr. Jiang is still in the rescue, and the cause of the accident is under further investigation.
