"One community, one policy" solves the problem of charging electric vehicles for residents

"One community, one policy" solves the problem of charging electric vehicles for residents

"It's good that with these charging piles, you don't have to worry about the charging of electric vehicles anymore." On May 1, the first batch of charging facilities built with reference to the "one community, one policy" plan were officially put into operation near five old communities in Changzhou Zhonglou District.

With the rapid development of the new energy automobile industry, the demand for charging piles is also expanding. Data from the Automobile Market Research Branch of the China Automobile Dealers Association shows that by the end of 2021, the number of new energy vehicles in the country will reach 7.84 million, an increase of nearly 60% year-on-year. However, many old residential areas have no property, no fixed parking spaces, and no sufficient public power supply and power channels, and it is difficult to install charging piles.

In order to solve this problem, the State Grid Changzhou Power Supply Company communicated and coordinated with the government, streets, communities and other parties, through full research in the early stage, according to the specific conditions of each community, formulated a suitable charging facility construction plan, and realized the transformation from "community adaptation charging pile" to "charging pile adapted to community".

Taking The New Garden Village in Zhonglou District, Changzhou City as an example, the community was built in the 1990s, with dense buildings, narrow roads, almost full of motor vehicles and electric bicycles, and difficult excavation and construction, and there is no space for installing charging piles. At the same time, several adjacent communities are facing the same problem. In order for residents to smoothly charge electric vehicles, the State Grid Changzhou Power Supply Company overturned the original plan of building piles in each community after inspecting the site, and decided to use an open space in front of the community to build a shared charging station that can be used by residents of multiple communities.

It is reported that the charging station currently has 2 double-gun DC public charging piles and 4 AC public charging piles, which can meet the needs of 8 electric vehicles charging at the same time. Residents can flexibly choose the charging method according to their needs.

Zhao Qingyuan, general manager of State Grid Changzhou Electric Vehicle Service Co., Ltd., said that since the implementation of the "one community, one policy" plan, the construction of public charging facilities in 15 communities has been completed, covering Wujin District, Xinbei District, Tianning District, Zhonglou District and Jintan District of Changzhou City. According to the plan, this year will be combined with the government's old residential area transformation project, and residential charging solutions will be formulated one by one to facilitate the charging of residents' electric vehicles and alleviate the worries of residents.
