At about 12:16 noon on December 24, a black Tesla electric car in Liyang, Jiangsu Province, turned around and rushed straight into the river. After rescue, the two occupants of the car were rescued, and the police reported that the driver was dead, while the other occupant was taken to the hospital for rescue. The person familiar with the matter said that by about 1:50 p.m., the female occupant was still in a critical state of respiratory arrest.
The incident occurred on the north gate bridge of Liyang Wuyue Capital, which is facing Qinghong Road, which is the intersection of 104 National Highway and Qinghong Road, a black Tesla turned left from the direction of Wuyue Plaza and entered the north-south bridge deck, and then crashed through the bridge guardrail and rushed into the river. During this period, there were no collisions with vehicles or pedestrians in front of or behind.
Witnesses said that some citizens immediately after Tesla fell into the river to rescue, and then with the cooperation of many enthusiastic citizens, police, fire and 120 departments, two people who fell into the water were rescued.
