It was "really sad" to see Jovinazzi leave F1 Gasley

After three seasons with Alfa Romeo, Jovinazzi lost to Chinese driver Zhou Guanyu in the 2022 race for a place, with Jovinazzi's seat being the last place to compete. In 2022 Jovinacci will play at THEFE, while next season he will also be a reserve driver for Alfa Romeo and Ferrari.

Gasley hopes this is just a temporary farewell for Jovinacci, explaining that it is "really sad" to see him withdraw from F1.

Answering fans' questions via video, Gasley said: "Antonio Jovinazzi, I'm really sad to see him leave the paddock because he's a really good guy. ”

While Gasley says he has positive relationships with everyone, he sees Jovinazzi, Ferrari's Charles Leclerc and little Red Bull teammate Yuki Kakuda as his three closest relationships in F1.

He said: "Charles is obviously my best friend in the paddock and then Kakuda and I do have a great relationship with him, you know, I've spent a lot of time with him this season and I've gotten along well with everyone, but I would say I'm obviously the closest to these three guys. ”

2022 has the potential to be a great season in Gasley's F1 career, with the Frenchman breaking through 100 points in total in 2021, and he finished ninth in the trainers' standings with 110 points, under his leadership, the Little Red Bull Racing took sixth place, they are only 13 points less than alps, and 142 points, which is also the best result since the founding of the team.
