Tost: Gasly has made huge strides in the 2021 season

Red Bull Jr. coach Franz Tost praised Pierre Gasley for his impact and progress in the 2021 season, and he believes Gasley still has potential to tap.

Gasley is one of the most popular drivers on the F1 track and continues to excel in his role as captain of The Little Red Bull after being relegated from Red Bull midway through the 2019 season. Since then, Gasly has achieved a P2 in Brazil, a race victory at Monza and a P3 at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix this season, which could further help him get selected by another big-name team, but his way back to Red Bull appears to be blocked.

You might be thinking that given Gasley's excellent performances and consistent results over the last few seasons, we're seeing a full-fledged driver, but his current manager, Tost, believes the 25-year-old hasn't reached his peak yet.

Tost said: "He has amazing potential and importantly, I still feel like he can improve. If we offer him a competitive car next year, he can still surprise him. ”

Tost believes Gasly has improved in the 2021 season, showcasing the Frenchman's eighteen martial arts.

He said: "From driving experience, he now has experience with how to set up the car, how to manage the tyres, he can read the race, which is very important, on the team radio station he is asking questions, he has taken another big step this year, really a big step forward. ”

In the 2021 season, Gasley has accumulated 110 points, and he has won points in 15 games during the season, including nine in the top six.
