Ferrari has unveiled a car that looks set to hit the Spanish circuit next week, a true F1-75 car, but with some details hidden in it.
Ferrari team held an online car launch on Thursday, with team leader Mattia Binotto, drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz unveiling the F1-75.
As most teams are desperate to hide their secrets at the last minute, releasing show cars, or even just renderings, has become a theme this season. Ferrari took a different path, showcasing a slim real car with a side box design with cooling shutters at the top, with a unique interpretation of the new rules. The car's new look is striking, with Ferrari's racing livery this year in black and red.
Binotto said: "For us, the launch of F1-75, this is an important day. We put everything into this car and we have a great team that is constantly strengthening. We have responded to this challenge in an innovative way, and we have done this with an open mind. ”
The team will continue to work with Leclerc and Sainz this season and Ferrari will maintain the same driver line-up for the second consecutive year.
Leclerc said: "This season has been a very important one for both the team and the drivers, it's a great opportunity and expectations are high. ”
His teammate Sainz said he was "well prepared for this season".
The Spaniard added: "The 2021 season has been a great year, I have learned how to work and adapt to the environment, now it is time to take the team to another level, keep going! ”
Ferrari managed their two drivers well in the 2021 season, but tensions could intensify this season, with many predicting that Ferrari could become a team that could fight at the front.
