"The biggest feature of this exhibition is that through the careful selection and display design of cultural relics, visitors can clearly understand the historical development of the entire Hunan region and the cultural characteristics of different periods." Guo Weimin, professor of the Department of Archaeology of Hunan University, introduced that from the art of prehistoric pottery, to the bronze culture of the Shang and Zhou Dynasties, to the Xiangchu civilization of the Warring States, from the comprehensive development of the Han and Tang Dynasties to the Xiang School of Song minghu, from the modern "open eyes to see the world", to the establishment of new China to open up a new era of history, through these cultural relics, we can see the process of gradually integrating the Huxiang culture represented by "daring to open up and cherishing the world" into Chinese culture and becoming an inseparable part of it.

It is understood that the changsha tongguan kiln site where this exhibition is held is a porcelain-making site from the Tang to the fifth dynasty, which has a history of more than 1200 years, and the Changsha kiln products of the Tang Dynasty are exported to 29 countries and regions in the world in large quantities, which is an important witness of the Maritime Silk Road.
In recent years, based on the protection of cultural heritage, the Changsha Tongguan Kiln Ruins Management Office has been committed to the dissemination of excellent culture, adhering to foreign cooperation and exchanges, and constantly introducing and launching foreign exchange exhibitions with rich content and diverse forms, displaying and disseminating Huxiang culture to the public, and carrying forward the spirit of the Silk Road.
