During the Three Kingdoms period, Zhuge Liang had three brothers, his elder brother Zhuge Jin was an official in Eastern Wu, an official to a general, and his younger brother Zhuge Jun later became an official under Liu Bei and served as a lieutenant in Changshui. In addition, Zhuge Liang also had a brother of the same ethnic group, Zhuge Shi, who was an official in Cao Wei. In the chaotic world of the Three Kingdoms, these four brothers of the Zhuge family all made a difference, which was a relatively prosperous family. Unfortunately, the good times did not last long, and before and after the fall of the Shu Han, the fate of the four brothers was relatively miserable.
After Zhuge Jin's death, his eldest son Zhuge Ke was used by Sun Quan and later became a powerful vassal of the State of Wu, but unfortunately died in a conspiracy soon after, and then all the descendants of Zhuge Jin's family were killed, fortunately, Zhuge Jin had earlier passed on his second son Zhuge Qiao to Zhuge Liang as a son, leaving Zhuge Pan as an official in the Shu State, and later returning to Zhuge Jin's lineage to inherit incense for him.
Although Zhuge Liang was talented, he did not have children for nearly thirty years after marrying his wife Huang, so he passed zhuge qiao, the second son of his brother Zhuge Jin, to his knees, and later did not give birth to his own son Zhuge Zhan until he was 46 years old. When Zhuge Liang died, Zhuge Zhan was only eight years old. Later, when Deng Ai secretly attacked the Shu state, Zhuge Zhan led his army to intercept at Mianzhu, but unfortunately due to improper command, the whole army was defeated, and Zhuge Zhan and his eldest son Zhuge Shang both died on the battlefield. Fortunately, Zhuge Zhan still had a young son in Chengdu, Zhuge Jing, who survived. Therefore, by the time of the fall of the Shu Han Dynasty, Zhuge Liang's direct blood relatives were mainly left with Zhuge Jing.
Zhuge Jun's fame and official position were inferior to those of his brothers Zhuge Jin and Zhuge Liang, so there are fewer records about him. Zhuge Jun's descendants are somewhat complicated, leaving their names zhuge Wang, Zhuge Qi, and Zhuge Qian, but there are theories that Zhuge Qi was actually Zhuge Liang's second son, and Zhuge Qian was Zhuge Jin's son, and both of them were passed on to Zhuge Jun. Zhuge Jun himself has a son Zhuge Wang, so why would the two older brothers let their sons pass here with the younger brother? It is estimated that this is the response that the three brothers thought of in case of an accident in the family lineage. Zhuge Jin and Zhuge Liang, because of their high official positions and great fame, are estimated to be worried that after their deaths, if the country perishes or suffers a change, they are afraid that they will make a big move and cause harm to future generations, so they arrange a son to pass on to Zhuge Jun, who has a smaller goal, in case of accidents, and as a result, Zhuge Jin's descendants were indeed slaughtered, fortunately, there were descendants left in the Shu kingdom, and they were able to pass on their family lineage.
Zhuge Liang's cousin Zhuge Shi served under Cao Cao early on, but due to his opposition to the Sima family's monopoly, the family was eventually destroyed.
Zhuge Jing later surrendered to Cao Wei with Liu Chan, and Zhuge Xian, the son of Zhuge Pan, was moved inland to Hedong in the first year of Xianxi, and was sponsored by Luo Xian to serve as the county commander of The Western Jin Dynasty and the Assassin of Jiangzhou, and his official reputation was relatively good, becoming the most important inheritor of Zhuge Liang's lineage. When the Shu Han Dynasty fell, Zhuge Jun was still alive, and he was ordered to move to Luoyang, but unfortunately, before he reached Luoyang, he fell ill and died on the road, and his descendants should find another place to settle down.
The descendants of Zhuge Liang's three brothers, after zhuge jing, are rarely recorded in historical records. It is said that by the time of the Ming Dynasty, the descendants of the Zhuge clan moved to Lanxi, Zhejiang Province, and according to the ancestral precept of "not being a good doctor, you are a good doctor", most of them took the traditional Chinese medicine industry as their main business for a living.
