Those historical stories of Lizhuang Village in Xinzhai Town, Yucheng

Author/Wang Hebei

One kilometer southwest of my hometown Wangjiafang Village, there is a small village of more than 300 people named "Lizhuang". It borders Fozhang Village to the east, Yuding Road to the west and Qianzhuangke Village, anzhuang Village to the south, and Tanzhuang Village to the southwest.

During the Reign of Ming Hongwu (1368-1398 AD), Zhu Yuanzhang ruled the world, but at this time, the Jiangshan was already devastated and full of war wounds. Shandong, Henan, and Hebei are full of tragic scenes of "white bones exposed in the wild, and no chickens chirping for thousands of miles.".

In order to restore agricultural production, develop the economy, and promote balanced social and demographic development as soon as possible to consolidate the rule of the Ming Dynasty, the Ming government adopted a series of policies and measures to encourage immigration. From Shanxi Province, which was relatively densely populated at that time, it successively migrated to Shandong, Hebei, Henan and other regions, and migrated according to the proportion of "one of the four families, two of the six families, and three of the eight families".

The three li brothers of the Li family, Li Ren, Li Xin, and Li Zhi, were listed as immigrants and forced to move from Hongdong County, Shanxi Province, away from their homeland. Li Ren moved to Liji Village in Henan Province, Li Xin moved to Liji Village in Xiajin, Shandong, and Li Zhi moved to Liji Village in Gaotang Prefecture. It is said that before the separation, the father of the three brothers, Li Canggong, asked the craftsmen to carefully cast three valuable "golden Buddhas" and handed them over to the three sons as evidence that the descendants of the Li clan would meet and recognize each other in the future.

The sun and the moon are like shuttles, time is like electricity, and in the blink of an eye, in the last year of the Ming Dynasty, a Li Sigui of the Li clan moved from Liji Village in Gaotang Prefecture to the southwest of Yucheng County, and a new village "Li Zhuang" was built southwest of Wangjiafang Village.

Because Li Sigui as early as his hometown of Gaotang Prefecture Liji Village, with gaotang prefecture "Sai Lu ban" to learn carpenter craftsmanship, good at creating a variety of chairs, "Li Zhuang" after the establishment of the village, Li Sigui still returned to the old business, often to the surrounding villages to make chairs for large households, especially once made a chair for the county grandfather. This made him famous, and the carpenter's skills quickly became famous. Some people jokingly called his village name "Li Zhuang" "Chair Craftsman Zhuang". Since then, the real village name "Li Zhuang" has been ignored by many people.

Because of its small population and small area, people in the surrounding villages have been habitually calling it "Little Lizhuang". Don't you know that there are two villages in Xinzhai Town, namely "Big Li Zhuang" and "Little Li Zhuang". In order to distinguish the village names of these three villages, after the "Cultural Revolution", the Xinzhai Township Government changed the village names of "Big Li Zhuang" and "Little Li Zhuang" to "Big Li" and "Little Li" respectively. The name of Lizhuang Village has not changed. However, the village masters of the surrounding villages still habitually call "Lizhuang" the village "Little Lizhuang". As a result, many letters mailed to "Lizhuang Village" and "Little Lizhuang" are often mistakenly sent to "Little Lizhuang" and "Lizhuang Village", making a lot of jokes. It also made the staff of the post office quite nervous. After the "Cultural Revolution", the government standardized the name of the village, and officially set the name of "Chair Craftsman Zhuang" as "Li Zhuang", which has been used to this day.

One that happened in the chairmaker village

"Golden Buddha" weapon fight

Legend has it that as early as a hundred years ago, in order to protect the ancestral treasure "Golden Buddha", there was a deadly and deadly armed struggle between the chair craftsman and the nearby bandits, and the final result was that the chair craftsman zhuang won a complete victory.

Since then, every time the bandits heard the three words of the chairmaker, they were full of excitement, smelled the wind, and the urine was running out. The bandits who participated in the battle of the chair smith Zhuang to seize the "Golden Buddha" were even more resentful, and the choreographed sentence "I would rather pass through the Yellow Clay Gang than walk the chair smith", which is still spread in the folk. The daimyo of the chair craftsman village is even more impressive.

It is said that in the early years of the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, warlords were divided, society was dark, thieves were rampant, and the people were not happy. A gang of bandits appeared on the banks of the Yellow River in Dongxiang, lying day and night, specializing in the business of robbing their homes and houses, and the local government had no good way to take them.

Due to the sudden unexpected changes in the family, the Li clan of Liji Village in Gaotang Prefecture secretly transferred the treasure "Golden Buddha" to Lizhuang in Xinzhai, where it was kept by the li clan chief of the same clan. But I don't know whether the villagers in Lizhuang Village intended to show off, or the tree was a big move, anyway, they accidentally leaked the "Golden Buddha" news.

One day, at the Song Family Tea House in the Wangjiafang Market, two strangers came to the market, both of them were about thirty years old, one short and one tall, one fat and one thin, one black and one white, "short and fat" looked strong, black face was rough, there were scars on the face, and people gave the nickname "Scar La Yan King". "Thin tall" weak can not help the wind, the skin is white, there is a black mole on the face, and the black mole has three red hairs that are particularly conspicuous, and people give the nickname "white impermanence".

They sneaked into the teahouse, asked for a pot of wine, four small dishes, and drank. After a few glasses of wine, I saw the "ScarLa Yama King" with a red face, squinting his eyes, looking at the thin man, and swearing dirty words in his mouth:

"Mother, did my brother let you inquire about the whereabouts of the "Golden Buddha"? ”

Seeing the "white impermanence" Bi Gongbi, he lowered his voice and said, "Boss, everything has been clearly inquired." In the hands of the chairmaker Li Patriarch, it is --- is ----"

"Hurry up and fucking say, give me a dumb puzzle!"

"Bai Wuchang" said hesitantly: "Listening to the people in the surrounding villages, there are no miscellaneous surnames in the chair maker village, and the Li patriarch has weapons in his hands, and he has great prestige in the village, and the people are also very crowded, and the defense is tight and not easy to provoke." I advised the boss not to fight the idea of "Golden Buddha". To be honest, I heard that it is even more difficult to grab a little hen in the chairmaker village! ”

When the "ScarLa Yama King" heard the fury, he screamed and scolded, "You fucking fart!" Grow the morale of others and destroy your own prestige! Is the chair craftsman village a copper wall and an iron wall? Since we know the whereabouts of the "Golden Buddha", we should immediately go back to organize people, and tonight, while it is dark, kill him personally on horseback! I don't believe it, we can't destroy him, can't take away this "Golden Buddha"?! ”。

Saying, the two people left their seats, paid the store bill, one after the other, and left the Song Family Tea House shakily, and went southeast with their horses.

"The speaker has no intention, the listener has a heart". The conversation between the two people just now was clearly heard by the Song treasurer of the Song family's tea house from the window, and the Song treasurer hurriedly sent the shop Xiao Er to clean up the debris, and he rode a donkey to the chair craftsman's village. When he saw Patriarch Li, he told him the news he had heard.

Chief Li was astonished.

Without further ado, after sending away the Song treasurer, Patriarch Li immediately summoned relevant personnel to his house to discuss countermeasures. When everyone heard this news, they were furious and indignant, and unanimously expressed that they would "block the soldiers and swallow the water." Completely wipe out the bandits who will commit the crime!

Seeing that everyone's morale was high, Chief Li made careful arrangements, and immediately sent someone to send a letter to the brothers of the same ancestor in Liji Village, Gaotang Prefecture, his hometown, demanding that after dinner, he must rush to the pine forest northeast of the chair smith zhuang to ambush and jointly resist the enemy. In less than two hours, the men and horses were assembled.

Li Cheng (patriarch Li's brother in Liji Village, Gaotang Prefecture) led more than 60 people from Liji Village in Gaotang Prefecture to ambush and hide in the woods northeast of the village. The chairsmith village has always had the habit of martial arts, and at this time, all the people are soldiers, and the villagers are armed with large knives, spears, shovels, wooden sticks and other equipment, ready for battle.

Near midnight, I saw the sound of horses hanging in the distance, and from the east came a pair of people and horses, hundreds of people, holding guys in their hands, led by the "ScarLa Yan King" who appeared in the Song family tea house during the day. At this time, the Tanma Blue Banner had already been reported to Patriarch Li, and seeing that the bandits had entered the ambush circle, Patriarch Li was holding an earthen gun and firing it into the sky. Hearing the starting gun, all the people and horses immediately rushed to kill him with their instruments, because they had already made preparations, everyone should cooperate inside and outside, and at the same time attacked, encircling the bandits layer by layer, killing him by surprise.

The two sides engaged in hand-to-hand combat. The bandits suffered heavy casualties. During the melee, "White Impermanence" was hit by a spear and died. "ScarLa Yama King" was slashed by a large knife on his left shoulder, grinning in pain, seeing that the chair smith village was crowded with many people, taking advantage of less than half a point, he immediately whistled, saying black words in his mouth, "The wind is tight, retreat!" ”。 He led the remnants of the defeated army and fled to the southeast.

This armed struggle finally ended with the complete victory of the villagers of the chairmaker village. The bandits " Golden Buddha " did not snatch it, but took several lives. No wonder that since then, the bandits have issued a sigh of "rather than walking through the yellow mud hill than walking the chair craftsman".

Although hundreds of years have passed, the "Golden Buddha" has long been gone, but the legendary story of the "Golden Buddha" weapon fight has been widely spread in lizhuang village and eight neighbors.

A chairmaker during the national period

Well-known personalities

There is a famous legendary figure of the Republic of China in Lizhuang Village--- a Kuomintang anti-Japanese general named Li Wenyan.

Li Wenyan was born into a wealthy family of wealthy men. When he was a teenager, he studied private school, he was intelligent and studious, deeply influenced by Dr. Sun Yat-sen's "Three People's Principles", and accepted many new ideas and new things. He made a grand ambition to join the army and serve the motherland when he grew up.

At the age of 19, he threw himself into the pen and was admitted to the Whampoa Military Academy with excellent results and received professional military training. After graduation, he was assigned to a group army in Chongqing, successively serving as a company commander, a battalion commander, and a colonel of the Air Force Flying Regiment. During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, he led his troops to participate in several major battles against Japan organized by the Kuomintang, escorted the ground troops, shot down several Wokou aircraft, and made great achievements in battle.

During the Liberation War, the Kuomintang was caught in the ocean of people's war, but Li Wenyan was still foolishly loyal to the Chiang family dynasty. In 1949, after the Battle of Crossing the River began, Li Wenyan was ordered to intercept our army's crossing of the river, causing a lot of trouble for our people's liberation army to cross the river. After the defeat of the campaign, Chiang Kai-shek personally sent a report and ordered him to fly to Taiwan as soon as possible.

But my communist army did not leave him any chance to escape. Li Wenyan was eventually captured by our army in a battle, and was listed as a Kuomintang war criminal, serving a sentence in Zhengzhou Prison. During this period, through in-depth study of Chairman Mao's writings, under the patient education and persuasion of our prison management personnel, and under the inspiration of our party's united front policy, Li Wenyan finally changed his mind and profoundly reflected on the crimes he had committed against the people. Through constantly raising political awareness, he finally accepted the people's reform, was selected by Zhengzhou Prison as an "activist studying Chairman Mao's works", and was leniently treated by the government and released with an early amnesty. Later, he was placed by the people's government to work in the Zhengzhou Welfare Institute, and finally died of illness in the Zhengzhou Welfare Institute.
