Although the market for high-performance SUVs is not hot, the Lamborghini Urus as a trailblazer is one of the few exceptions, because he not only brings excellent sales, but also helps Lamborghini achieve very reliable revenue. This car inherits the high performance of the Lamborghini and also guarantees its passage far beyond the sports car, and has more power than the supercar of a few years ago, but the rich people who own it are always not satisfied, so the cooperation between Mansory and MTM has led to a retrofit of the world's strongest Urus, with more than 1,000 horsepower.
Whether it's in terms of visuals or power, the refit plant took Urus a notch. Mansory's extremely modified carbon fiber wide body makes the car look more domineering, with a large air intake. The aerodynamic kit also includes a heavy diffuser with a centrally mounted triple exhaust system at the rear, and the triangular shape is particularly eye-catching.
The MTM was responsible for squeezing more power out of the engine, installing a pair of larger turbochargers, an upgraded air intake system, a custom air filter and a reinforced ZF eight-speed automatic transmission. The Urus, with its enormous power of 1,001 horsepower, is on par with the Bugatti Veyron, which is equipped with a four-turbo W16 8.0-litre engine.
MTM's Phase 3 kit increases the torque figure to 1,250 Nm, which is actually an electronically controlled torque output to avoid damaging the gearbox. Performance data has not yet been released, but we predict that the car can exceed 300 km/h and accelerate in just 3 seconds from 100 km/h.
This isn't the first time MTM has tuned the engine, Lamborghini is preparing a mid-term overhaul for the Urus, which could upgrade the V8 to deliver more than 650 horsepower of stock output. The new car should debut in 2022, and we're looking forward to a plug-in hybrid derivative.
