Lamborghini Urus delivered more than 2,000 units in China with a 4.0T V8 engine

On April 26, Lamborghini officially announced that it has reached an important milestone after setting a quarterly record with global deliveries of 2,539 units in the first quarter of 2022, with its Urus delivering more than 2,000 units in Chinese mainland and Hong Kong and Macau since its listing.

The Lamborghini Urus concept debuted at the 2012 Beijing Auto Show and immediately attracted a lot of attention. Officially launched in 2017, Urus sets a new benchmark with powerful power, exceptional performance, extreme driving passion, as well as luxury and everyday practicality.

At the same time, the Urus also ushered in the most significant transformation period of Lamborghini and has become an important model in the SUV segment in the past four years. Thanks to the launch of Urus, Lamborghini's sales, turnover and profitability have reached unprecedented levels in the brand's history. Today, Urus's customers are located in various markets around the world, and more than 70% of them are new customers who buy Lamborghini for the first time.

In 2021, Automobili Lamborghini set a record with a global delivery of 8,405 units, making it the best sales year in the company's history. With 5,021 units delivered, the Urus continues to be the brand's best-selling model. Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and Macau once again became Lamborghini's second largest single market in the world with 935 units delivered, of which more than 60% were contributed by Urus, reaching 578 units.

Lamborghini will continue to invest in and develop Urus models. According to the brand's electrification strategy "Direzione Cor Tauri" announced in 2021 ( Moving forward to the heart of Taurus ), the company will invest more than 1.5 billion euros over four years to launch its first hybrid production model in 2023, hybridize all product lines by the end of 2024, and reduce CO2 emissions by 50%.

Between 2025 and 2030, Lamborghini will launch its fourth product line, its first pure electric model. In the process of electrification of products, Lamborghini will continue to focus on the use of unique technologies and solutions to ensure extreme performance and driving dynamics.
