Three thousand years of history to see Shaanxi, five thousand years of history to see Shanxi. Enter the gate of the special exhibition "Huaxia Hua - The Essence of Ancient Civilization in Shanxi", the spotlight is projected on the cultural relics, and the distant time distance is reduced to several feet to lean over. The thickness of civilization, the splendor of art, the interest of the ancients and the profound Chinese civilization come together.
One exhibition brings together ten thousand years
A panoramic view of the 10,000 years. According to reports, the special exhibition is co-sponsored by Tsinghua University and the Shanxi Provincial Bureau of Cultural Relics. With six units, "Wende Youming, Ruijie Xinyu, Daosheng Instrument Cheng, Wanliu Guiyi, Han and Tang Dynasty Miracles, and Painting Miao Tong shen", the exhibition exhibits a total of more than 300 ancient cultural relics from 11 cultural institutions in Shanxi Province, of which more than half are first-class cultural relics, spanning 10,000 years from the late Paleolithic period to the Ming Dynasty.
The theme of the exhibition is set as "Huaxia Hua", and the second word "Hua" has a profound meaning. First, Hua, Hua, and Beautiful can also borrow the "flower" of Xiyin culture. Second, Hua, the essence, the essence of Chinese civilization. Third, the Shu Shun Dian records: "Yue Ruo Ji Gu Di Shun, Yue Chonghua, Xie Yu Emperor", Kong Chuan: "Hua, called Wende." The words and words of light and literature coincide with Yao, and they are all holy. "Hua is Wende.
Throughout history, Chinese civilization has a unique cultural gene and its own development process, and has always been in the same vein. As one of the important origins of Chinese civilization, Shanxi is second to none in the country due to its relatively closed special terrain and the ancient cultural relics that remain, whether underground or above ground, whether in quality or quantity.
Du Pengfei, executive deputy director of the Art Museum of Tsinghua University and executive director of the exhibition, said that through historical-related cultural relics and physical evidence, presenting the brilliant ancient civilization of Shanxi not only allows the audience to truly feel that "Chinese civilization looks at Shanxi", but also inspires people to remember the deepest spiritual pursuit of the Chinese nation.
In the cultural relics on display, we can see the fusion of cultures in the east, west, south, and north, and the presentation of art also reflects the value of multiculturalism and the far-reaching impact of the great integration of nationalities. Li Qiang, vice president of the China Ethnic Minority Cultural Relics Protection Association, sighed after watching the exhibition: The land of the Three Jins is not only the birthplace of Han civilization, but also the place where many ethnic minorities flourish. It can be said that one history of Shanxi and half of the history of China.
Cultural relics are the products of the times, and the historical and artistic values behind them are also the condensation of the times. "The shape, decoration, material, craftsmanship and other details of cultural relics are inseparable from the imprint of the times, and also reflect the wisdom of our Chinese civilization in the long river of history." Du Pengfei said that combining historical knowledge with artistic aesthetics and using ancient cultural relics to tell Chinese stories well is one of the original intentions of this exhibition.
Former carriages and horses
At the exhibition site, many visitors came prepared to look for "star exhibits" according to the poster pictures. Volunteers' on-site introduction: "This is probably the best preserved painting for 4,000 years" "This exhibit has since become rare"... It also attracts everyone to stop and taste.
Behind each exhibit is an endless story. In the ancient legend of "Three Emperors and Five Emperors", there are "Yaodu Pingyang", "Shundu Pusaka" and "Yudu Anyi", which roughly correspond to the locations, all located in the Linfen Basin and Yuncheng Basin in southwest Jin, the origin of Chinese civilization is closely related to Shanxi, and the cultural relics unearthed here have experienced countless legendary stories through wind and rain.
Shanxi's prehistoric cultural heritage is rich, showing extremely strong historical accumulation, and is one of the veritable birthplaces of Chinese civilization. In the exhibition area of "Wende Youming", a ceramic drum "lying on its side" gracefully "lies" on the booth, the drum body is just like a flower bone with buds waiting to be placed, the decoration is uniform and smooth, and everywhere reflects the awe of the craftsmen. "Ancient liturgical music does not divide families, and the large type of cultural relics reflects power and rank, and also confirms that the lilly system of Chinese civilization has taken shape during the Tao Temple civilization." Du Pengfei said.
The Shuowen Jiezi says: "Jade, the beauty of stone." "Jade originated in China about 8,000 years ago and is one of the most important art forms in China during the Neolithic and Bronze Ages. In the exhibition area of "Ruijie Xinyu", the Western Zhou Dynasty's human head god beast pattern jade ge is particularly exquisite, the lines and jade in the pattern are self-contained, and the glowing eyes and sharp animal claws are particularly divine, such ornaments may also carry the ancient people's view of nature. Shanxi rarely has local jade, but it has a developed jade culture. Curator Tan Shengguang introduced that a large number of Longshan era jade artifacts have been unearthed in southwest Jinxi and other regions, with large quantities, many varieties, good materials, and high production technology, and show signs that surrounding cultural factors are constantly converging here.
In the exhibition area of "Painting Magic theOsophical", the "picture scrolls" here sketch out a rather intimate picture of life for the audience. In the "Map of the Travel of Oxcarts Unearthed from the Mural Tomb of Liangbeiqi in Shuozhou Shuiquan", these ancestors "fashionably" tied up two handfuls of "V-shaped" hair buns; in the "Map of the Mural Riding Horse Riding Map excavated from the Tomb of Lou Rui in Wang Guo Village, Taiyuan City", a horse was frightened, and when the emergency "brake" was made, he accidentally spewed out a round ball of dung... These paintings vividly illustrate the interesting life of a thousand years ago. In addition, these precious pictorial materials perfectly reproduce the superb painting skills of ancient Chinese artists, providing us with an important physical basis for rewriting the history of Chinese painting.
In addition to the rich historical knowledge, visitors can also appreciate the unique beauty of the Orient. This kind of beauty, beauty outside: shape, shape, pattern, color, everywhere reflects the ancients' thinking and expression of nature; this beauty, beauty inside: the fusion of multiculturalism highlights the beauty of change, Chinese the cultural imprint of the same line and contains the beauty of inheritance.
The context is clear
At the exhibition site, we heard experts introduce that we should "look at cultural relics in contrast and look at cultural relics together" so that the times and cultural relics can truly dialogue.
"Opening time and space to look at cultural relics, we can feel the infinite value of pluralism, openness, exchange and mutual learning, and history proves that we cannot rely on internal volumes to soar, and civilizations need to be blended to bloom." Du Pengfei said that Chinese culture has our unique genes, and multiculturalism seems to be "digested and absorbed" nutrients, and we spit out the old and accept the new, maintaining the vitality of the culture.
Dialogue with history is also a dialogue with the self, in the guestbook of the exhibition, some viewers wrote: "Qin and Jin are good, it is really possible to see the exchange and evolution of culture." "After visiting the exhibition, each exhibit is infused with the brand of civilization and praises the splendid splendor of my Chinese culture." ......
Yuan Ziyao, a master's student at the School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University, is an interpretive volunteer for the exhibition. "As far as the eye can see, it is the art produced by our ancestors, and the ancient stories behind the cultural relics have touched me." Yuan Ziyao said that the patterns on each cultural relic are engraved with the aesthetics of each historical dynasty, and the cultural accumulation of thousands of years has created our rich cultural self-confidence in China.
In the "Implementation Opinions on Making Cultural Relics Come Alive and Expanding the International Influence of Chinese Culture", which was recently deliberated and adopted, it is clearly pointed out that it is necessary to accurately extract and display the spiritual identity of China's excellent traditional culture, and better reflect the historical value, cultural value, aesthetic value, scientific and technological value, and era value of cultural relics.
Du Pengfei said that the introduction of the "Implementation Opinions" has given audiences in other countries more opportunities to see China's culture and civilization, which is also an important way to make cultural relics "live", tell Chinese stories well, and spread cultural self-confidence.
An exhibition that lifted up the brilliant historical memory of Chinese civilization. It is difficult to fill the exhibition hall with a complete change of ten thousand years, but people immersed in it may be able to let go of their hearts, quietly feel the charm of culture, and quietly taste the beauty of history.
