At the "China Intelligent Display and Innovative Application Industry Conference" held on December 22, the 2021 color TV market research report released by Aowei Cloud Network showed that as of November this year, the overall retail volume of domestic color TVs fell by 13.8% year-on-year, and the retail sales scale increased by 7.2% year-on-year. However, the high-end large-screen TV market bucked the trend, with retail sales of more than 75 inches increasing by 69.7% year-on-year, retail sales of more than 80 inches year-on-year by 114.8%, and retail sales of high-end markets above 8,000 yuan increasing by 41.3% year-on-year. Hisense ranks first in the large-screen TV market of more than 75 inches, the market of more than 8,000 yuan and the laser TV market.

The report data shows that the outbreak of new display technology is an important thrust to promote the expansion of the high-end large-screen market. In 2021, laser, OLED, Mini LED, 8K and other new display products have achieved rapid growth, of which the laser TV, which is recognized as the "mainstream of next-generation display technology" in the industry, is particularly prominent. According to the omni-channel data of Aowei Cloud Network, the compound growth rate of laser TVs in 2015-2020 reached 181%.

"In the face of various uncertain market factors, Hisense has always adhered to the deterministic development goal of 'high-end large screen + new display', through industrial structure adjustment, breakthroughs on multiple display tracks, and achieved rapid development of smart display terminals and new display plates," said Wang Wei, deputy general manager of Hisense Laser Display Company. The U9 series ULED has become a benchmark for picture quality in the high-end market. During the European Cup, Hisense U7 and laser TV became explosive products in the global market.

As the global leading brand of laser TV, Hisense took the lead in completing the full-size serial application of tri-color laser TV in 2021, and launched the world's first roll-screen laser TV, achieving full-size coverage from 75 to 150 inches. Wang Wei also revealed, "Hisense will release the world's first 8K laser TV at CES 2022, pushing the picture quality level of laser TV to a new height."

Xu Zuyan, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, said that laser TV has technical advantages such as product form, picture quality expression, low-carbon environmental protection, etc.; it has product advantages such as ultra-high-definition picture quality, cinema-level immersion, visual health eye protection, good home integration, and good user experience. Compared with other new display technologies, laser display has obvious technical advantages.
