The Northern Wei Dynasty was the first political power in Chinese history to be established by the Xianbei Tuoba clan of the ethnic minority into the Central Plains, which ended the chaotic situation in the north of our country, absorbed and integrated the excellent cultural traditions of the Han nationality and the border ethnic minorities, and presented a new look in terms of system, economy, religion, and art, laying a solid foundation for the formation of a pattern of pluralism and integration of the Chinese nation.

According to the relevant person in charge of the Luoyang Museum, the cultural relics exhibited in Luoyang are mainly from the tomb of Yang Ji, a heavy minister of the Northern Wei Dynasty. Yang Ji's ancestral home was Tianshui, Qinzhou (present-day Tianshui, Gansu), and his grandfather moved his family to Luoyang in the early years of the Northern Wei Dynasty, where Yang Ji was born and raised. Yang Ji was quite ambitious and dignified, and at the age of 24, he became Yin Gongcao of Henan, and later served as the governor of the Pingnan General's Office, Shi and Luoyang Ling, and was a clean and honest, impartial official.

According to the person in charge, the exquisite cultural relics from Luoyang attracted many Korean audiences to "watch". Among them, there is a relatively complete set of painted pottery figurines, "performers" with black hair and lips, a beautiful face, or drumming or playing pipa, vividly reproducing the real music and dance scenes of the Northern Wei Dynasty. In another group of painted pottery warriors, the town tomb beasts, samurai figurines, chema yiwei figurines, literary officials figurines, servant figurines, etc. are readily available, showing that after Emperor Xiaowen of the Northern Wei Dynasty moved the capital to Luoyang, the ceremonial system became increasingly strict, and the burial system was gradually standardized.

● Hulunbuir Gaxian Cave

GaxianDong is located in the Orunchun Autonomous Banner of Hulunbuir City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and is the birthplace of the Xianbei people. Tuoba Xianbei, who lived in Gaxian Cave, founded the Northern Wei Dynasty, which effectively promoted the integration of the Chinese nation.

The entrance of Gaxian Cave is 12 meters high and 19 meters wide, the cave is 92 meters long from north to south, 27 meters wide from east to west, and the dome is more than 20 meters high, which can accommodate thousands of people. The cave house is a place where tribal members meet, and archaeology has found that the ground inside the cave is mixed with stone and beasts, and there are obvious traces of fire. On the west wall of the cave there is an inscription on the occasion when Tuoba Tao, the True King of the Taiping Dynasty of the Northern Wei Dynasty, sent the Zhongshu attendant Li Chang to worship the ancestors.

● Datong Sima Jinlong Tomb

The tomb of Sima Jinlong, located near shijiazhai village southeast of Datong City, Shanxi Province, is a joint tomb of Sima Jinlong, the king of Northern Wei, and his wife Qin Wenjichen. The tomb unearthed more than 450 burial utensils such as pottery figurines, living utensils, and stone carved pillar foundations, among which the lacquer painting wooden screen is full of light. Archaeologists believe that the large number and scale of figurines and the screen lacquer paintings full of Confucian style are in stark contrast, showing the dynamic development of Northern Wei society. After the Xianbei people went all the way south from the grasslands to the capital pingcheng (present-day Datong, Shanxi), they may have begun to think about cultural integration, explore the principles of governing the country, and move towards the prosperous world with an inclusive and enterprising mentality.
