Recently, according to the news of foreign media iPhoneSoft, Apple has begun to work on the development of iOS 16, and exposed a list of supported models for iOS 16 and iPadOS 16.
iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 will support devices with A10 processors and chips at the minimum, which means that 8 older devices will be supported by iOS 16 and iPadOS 16.
iOS 16 will de-support iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, and iPhone SE (first generation), all of which are powered by A9 processors.
iPadOS 16 will eliminate support for iPad mini 4, iPad Air 2, iPad Fifth Generation, 9.7-inch iPad Pro, and 12.9-inch iPad Pro (First Generation), which are powered by A8, A8X, A9, and A9X chips, respectively.
iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 will retire a total of 8 models, and the detailed support list is as follows:
