42 new confirmed cases in Xi'an A new round of nucleic acid testing was launched

According to the official website of the Shaanxi Provincial Health Commission, at 0-24:00 on December 20, 43 new locally confirmed cases were reported (42 cases in Xi'an City and 1 case in Xianyang City). Since 9 December, the province has reported a cumulative total of 96 locally confirmed cases (91 in Xi'an City, 3 in Yan'an City, and 2 in Xianyang City). At 0-24:00 on December 20, 1 new confirmed case imported from abroad was reported, and 1 case of asymptomatic infected person was released from isolation.

A new round of nucleic acid testing for all employees was launched

According to the news released by Xi'an, since December 9, there have been many cases of new crown pneumonia in Xi'an. In order to quickly and accurately discover the potential source of infection and completely block the epidemic situation, after the study and decision of the Municipal Epidemic Prevention and Control Command, on the basis of the large-scale nucleic acid testing carried out in the city in the early stage, a new round of nucleic acid testing of all employees was launched from December 21.

This round of nucleic acid testing is expected to start at 10 o'clock on December 21 in the city and complete at 10 o'clock on December 22. The scope of testing includes the permanent population and floating population in all districts and counties of the city, Xixian New Area and development zones.

There were 42 new confirmed cases in Xi'an

The local confirmed case is 35, male, 26 years old, currently living in Xi'an High-tech Zone. Imported confirmed cases, male, 31 years old, from Henan, were passengers of Flight JD430 from Lisbon, Portugal to Xi'an on 19 December. After the flight arrived at Xi'an Xianyang International Airport, all the personnel of the flight implemented closed-loop management measures such as customs quarantine, nucleic acid testing, and point-to-point transfer, and there was no self-activity trajectory in Shaanxi Province. The nucleic acid test result is positive, and it has been diagnosed as a confirmed case of new crown pneumonia by the municipal expert group, and is currently isolated and treated in a designated medical institution.

As of 24:00 on 20 December, a total of 359 locally confirmed cases (97 cases in hospital, 259 cases discharged from hospital, and 3 deaths) were reported.

As of 24:00 on December 20, a total of 463 confirmed cases imported from abroad were reported, 447 cases were discharged from hospital, and 16 cases were hospitalized. A total of 446 cases of asymptomatic infection imported from abroad were reported, 52 cases were converted to confirmed cases, 370 cases were released from medical observation, and 24 asymptomatic infected people were still under medical observation.
