Samsung Electronics recently formed a new business innovation team in China through restructuring, directly controlled by Vice Chairman and Head of the DX Department Han Zhongxi.
The team consists of a company-wide and business unit component that supports HUMAN RESOURCES and marketing. Under this division, there is the MX division responsible for mobile and the consumer electronics and video display (VD) division.

This was interpreted to mean that Vice Chairman Han would be directly responsible for the innovation of the entire China business.
Some business people also said that Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong will visit China and other places early next year, and there is no trial timetable at present.
According to the interpretation, Samsung Electronics' smartphone business has been struggling in China for several years, and even in terms of supply chain management, the sense of crisis that "the Chinese market should not sit still" is playing a role.
As of 2020, Samsung's business in China has about 18,000 employees and executives, down 40% from 2018. According to Samsung, net sales of the Chinese subsidiary fell by 12.5 percent in the aforementioned period to 37.8 trillion won ($31.9 billion) in 2020.
