Recently, Samsung Electronics announced the first quarter of 2022 performance report, Samsung Electronics' operating profit in the first quarter is expected to reach 14.1 trillion won (about 73.01 billion yuan), an increase of 1.66% from the previous quarter, compared with 9.38 trillion won (about 48.57 billion yuan) in the same period last year, an increase of 50.32%.
In terms of revenue, Samsung Electronics Q1 also hit a record high. According to the data, Samsung Electronics is expected to achieve revenue of 77 trillion won (equivalent to 398.706 billion yuan) in Q1 2022, an increase of 18% year-on-year.
Samsung Electronics said that the growth factor comes from the business demand for chips and mobile phones. At the same time, the profit of Q1 is also the highest level of profit for the same period since 2018.
Among them, the operating profit of Samsung Display is expected to be 1 trillion won (5.178 billion yuan).
LG Electronics is no less impressive. According to the performance report, LG Electronics preliminarily verified that the company's sales in the first quarter were 21.1091 trillion won (about 109.303 billion yuan), an increase of 18.5% year-on-year; operating profit was 1.8801 trillion won (about 9.735 billion yuan), an increase of 6.4% year-on-year. Operating profit and sales both set record highs in a single quarter.
Relevant analysis believes that LG Electronics launched the Objet series of home appliances, OLED TVs and other high-end products sales increased sharply, and temporary patent revenue drove the first quarter of performance growth.
