From the perspective of emperor begging, we can see the composition and development of ancient beggars

In daily life, beggars may be people that some people do not like very much, except for some people who are really poor and unable to work and helpless to beg, there are now more and more professional beggars, and this part of the beggars is disgusted by many people, obviously can rely on their own labor to make money but only want to get it for free.

Probably few people know that the word "beggar" has already appeared in the ancient chinese script in our country.

As the name suggests, beggar actually means a person who makes a living by begging. The word begging first appeared in the oracle bone and the bell inscription, at that time they were a kind of sacrificial language, such as "begging rain" that is still used now, etc., and their earliest use was to indicate that the heavens were smooth and rainy, and there was a meaning of asking for God's blessing. But with the development of the times, this kind of prayer has slowly become an act of seeking.

Beggars are a product of the emergence of private property, when private property began to become a common phenomenon in society, social property began to tilt, the gap between rich and poor became more and more serious, and eventually people who fell at the bottom of society, had no economic ability and no ability to work, became beggars. And war is also a very important reason for the emergence of beggars.

If you say this, many people may think that beggars are simply the lowest level of society, if not really needed, who will choose to be a beggar? Indeed, this is the thinking of the general public, including the author himself, when a beggar can get a certain amount of money, but at the same time he has to sell his dignity, if a person obviously has the ability to support himself and go begging, it is very bad.

Beggars are the lowest level of society, and emperors are the highest class in feudal society, and there should be no connection between the two classes, but there are really a few emperors in Chinese history who have something to do with beggars! And this relationship is that they themselves were beggars, which sounds a bit mysterious, but it is really something that has happened in history, and what does the composition of these emperors and ancient beggars have to do with it? I will answer this question with two stories.

From the perspective of emperor begging, we can see the composition and development of ancient beggars

The protagonist of the first story to be told was born in the Spring and Autumn Warring States period, he was called Zhong'er, the son of the Jin Dynasty At that time, he should have eaten and drank a small life that a stupid child should live, but his father found him a stepmother - Li Ji. This was nothing originally, but it was bad because Li Ji gave birth to a son to Jin Xiangong. Since he was born with a son, Li Ji had to make plans for this child, Jin Xiangong originally had three sons, how could he not rank his own sons, what to do? Li Ji chose to kick these three "stumbling blocks" away first. At that time, Li Ji was very fond of Zhengnong, and she simply blew a pillow wind for Jin Xiangong, let Jin Xiangong send his three sons to a remote place, and then coaxed Jin Xiangong to kill one of them, and then sent someone to assassinate the remaining two people, and Zhong'er could only escape from jin and run to the di kingdom.

Jin Xiangong died, and these three sons were gone, this position could only be passed to Li Ji's son, Li Ji's eldest son was not very lucky, and he was assassinated not long after he ascended the throne, but it didn't matter, Li Ji's son was more than one, so Li Ji let his second son ascend to the throne, but he was still killed.

Later, Yiwu, who had been fleeing, became the monarch of the Jin state with the help of Qin Mugong, which was originally a happy ending for everyone, but the newly promoted Jin Huigong of the Jin state also had small eyes and was afraid that Zhong'er would come back to seize power, so he sent someone to assassinate Zhong'er, and Chong'er was really a miserable man, originally thought that he had been liberated, and as a result, he could not escape the fate of escaping.

This escape was even more tragic, because one of his men had swept away all his belongings, and the group could only survive by begging all the way, and this was a full nineteen years. Later, with the help of Duke Mu of Qin, he returned to the Jin Dynasty and became the monarch, and finally did not have to go into exile. Here I must say that Qin Mugong is really a good hand at investment, whether it is Yiwu or the upper position of heavy ears, there is his shadow behind it.

From the perspective of emperor begging, we can see the composition and development of ancient beggars

From the decline of the princes and nobles to the lowest level of society, becoming a beggar, this is actually the reason for the emergence of a large part of the beggar - the decline of class. If we look at some ancient novels or historical books now, we will definitely find that there was an ancient system called sitting. Many of the characters who were originally from the noble zhong mingding family were tired of all their relatives and friends because of a crime in the dynasty, except for their own death, everyone else in the family will be filled with untouchables, which is why we will find that there are many kabuki maiko who describe their own lives at that time, saying that they were originally born innocent and may even have been noble before, but once they were convicted, they fell into such a situation. Although the status is low, but these women have a place to live, and men are easy to become beggars, and not all people can bear the burden of humiliation like heavy ears, most of the noble children who are seated together are stupid children, usually golden and noble, once degraded, more miserable than the original beggars. Because in addition to the physical torture, they also have to endure the torture caused by the spiritual gap, and it is easy to collapse, and even the idea of surviving will be lost.

From the perspective of emperor begging, we can see the composition and development of ancient beggars

The first story is about the original prince and nobleman who fell into a beggar, while the second story is about how a beggar struggled to become an emperor, and the protagonist of this new story is called Zhu Yuanzhang.

Zhu Yuanzhang was born in 1328, his origin is not good, it can even be said to be very poor, that is, a poor peasant family, and he is still the youngest child, in such a poor family, there is no younger son can get a little more pampering, and even because there are too many brothers and will compress his own quality of life.

In 1344, a natural disaster occurred in the place where he was born, his parents and an older brother died, and another brother also went to refuge, the family was fragmented, and Zhu Yuanzhang, who was only seventeen years old, could only helplessly leave home.

But the temple where he was ordained did not have any food, and he could only go out and beg. In ancient times, there was a saying that he was talking about the monks who were beggars, and this word was most appropriate to describe Zhu Yuanzhang at this time, and he lived a full three years of this white-eyed beggar life.

Until 1352, he threw himself into Guo Zixing's Yellow Turban Army, and was repeatedly appreciated by Guo Zixing, relying on Guo Zixing's appreciation, Zhu Yuanzhang began to have the foundation of his own life, and finally struggled in the chaotic world by his own efforts, becoming the founding emperor of the Ming Dynasty!

This example does not explain the composition of the beggar class, but it can show that there are still many very capable people among the beggars, they are only limited by the surrounding environment, as long as they are given another environment, they can create a lot of unexpected miracles, because they have been oppressed for a long time, if you give these capable people a chance, they can survive more!

From the perspective of emperor begging, we can see the composition and development of ancient beggars

Therefore, if you look at the emperor's begging, the composition of the ancient beggars is not simple, and even any class can be said, the upper can go to the Tianzi imperial family, and the lower is the ordinary people. Some people become beggars once they fall, and they can only miss the rich and noble life of the past in the life of begging, while some beggars cannot guarantee that they will soar and become superiors, which is something that no one can say accurately.

These two examples can be said to be exceptional, but the strong identity gap between the emperor and the beggar is more illustrative of this problem – the composition of the ancient beggar is complex, and their subsequent fate is also complicated. It can be said that beggars are the most accessible profession in ancient times, as long as you are willing to pull down the underlings, do not have dignity, you can get this profession, so since ancient times, the profession of beggars has not disappeared, and even has a growing sense of intensification. Are there really talented people among the beggars? Yes, but very little, and if they want to change their class, there is one more thing they must do - seize the opportunity, but the opportunity is really difficult to obtain, so from ancient times to the present, the beggars we can see are really very few famous, very few people can survive like heavy ears, even if he does not fall to the beggar, it is difficult to reach the same height or even higher than before, and there are also very few people like Zhu Yuanzhang who use their own efforts to change their class.
