Zhang Ping said that the viruses infected by the 11 confirmed cases all belong to the Delta variant. Recent local cases in Zhejiang and Xi'an have also been infected with delta variants. Delta mutant strains have several characteristics: one is highly contagious, the second is short incubation period, the third is the fast transmission speed, and the fourth is the slow turn after infection.
The transmission method of delta variant virus has not changed, it is still "respiratory droplet transmission, contact transmission and aerosol transmission", so for individuals, the principle of protection of respiratory infectious diseases is the same, and the existing epidemic prevention and control measures are still effective, so there is no need to panic.
At this stage, personal prevention and control should continue to implement effective protective measures, including maintaining safe social distancing with others, observing cough etiquette, washing hands frequently, effectively putting on masks, cleaning and disinfecting the environment and objects, maintaining indoor ventilation, and avoiding crowded places. Zhang Ping also reminded that more attention should be paid to some details, such as when we take the elevator, we can press the elevator button with a toothpick or a tissue to reduce the risk of transmission.
Specifically, you can do this:
1. Wear a mask. Do not gather together, close crowds should be away, and masks must be worn correctly when going out. Today is the weekend, if it is not necessary, try to go less to relatives and friends, and not to go outside and walk around. Do not go to crowded public places, keep a distance of more than 1 meter from others, avoid crowd gathering; sneeze and cough in public places and cover the mouth and nose with tissues or elbows in time; reduce the use of public tableware, adhere to the meal sharing system; once fever, dry cough, fatigue, decreased sense of smell (taste), nasal congestion, runny nose, sore throat, conjunctivitis, myalgia and diarrhea and other symptoms, we must do a good job of personal protection to go to the nearest fever clinic, timely carry out nucleic acid testing, and exclude new crown infection.
2. Wash your hands frequently. Maintain hand hygiene, before meals, before going to the toilet, after going to the toilet, directly after touching the door handle, elevator buttons and other public facilities, wash your hands with hand sanitizer or soap in a timely manner according to the "seven-step handwashing method", and rinse with running water. Wash your hands for no less than 20 seconds. When it is not convenient to wash your hands, you can use quick-drying hand sanitizer to wipe and clean.
3. Normal ventilation. Strengthen indoor ventilation, ventilation at least 3 times a day, each ventilation time is not less than 30 minutes.
4. Good mindset. Maintain a good attitude, scientifically understand the changing form of the epidemic, obtain relevant information about the epidemic through official channels, and do not believe in rumors or spread rumors.
5. Vaccination. The public should be vaccinated against COVID-19 in a timely manner.
