Shen Yiqin and Li Renjie, veteran comrades who participated in the struggle of the underground organization of the CPC that liberated Shanghai that year, gong Xinhan, Zhu Xiaoming, Hu Wei, and Hong Hao, veteran leaders, and dui Buchun, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the Shanghai Municipal People's Congress and chairman of the Shanghai Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, and other leaders launched and visited the exhibition for the opening of the exhibition. Wang Peimin, daughter of revolutionary martyr Wang Xiaohe, and children of more than two dozen revolutionary ancestors attended the event.

The exhibition is sponsored by the Shanghai Federation of Trade Unions, and organized by the Shanghai Workers' Cultural Palace, the Exhibition Hall of the History of the Struggle of the Shanghai Underground Organization of the Communist Party of China and the Former Residence of Liu Changsheng, and the Research Center for the History of the Struggle of the Shanghai Underground Organization of the Communist Party of China. Through historical materials and objects, the exhibition hall of the center shows the revolutionary experience of Liu Xiao, Liu Changsheng, Zhang Chengzong, and other veteran leaders who made great contributions to the liberation and construction of Shanghai in those years, who skillfully carried out underground struggles under the white terror until Shanghai ushered in the dawn of liberation, and devoted themselves to the construction of a new Shanghai. For example, the humble old-fashioned telephone on display was a tool for Liu Changsheng, the "second in command" of the Shanghai underground party, and Zhang Chengzong, secretary of the Shanghai underground party committee of the CPC, a neighboring upstairs, to contact and direct major activities. In order to allow the audience to understand more about the red story behind individual characters and historical materials, the exhibition adopts a combination of two-dimensional code scanning and explanation to facilitate the majority of young and middle-aged and elderly audiences. The hall of the exhibition also displays nearly 100 "Fine Works of Calligraphy and Painting photography of Shanghai employees", whether it is calligraphy, Chinese painting, oil painting, or photography works, which not only show exquisite artistic techniques and distinct themes, but also fully reflect the spiritual outlook of Shanghai employees entering a new era. The purpose of the exhibition is to let the broad audience understand the stories of those ancestors who sacrificed their lives to forget death and selflessly dedicate themselves to the great righteousness of the nation and the truth of salvation through the calligraphy and paintings and related historical materials and the stories behind the red objects, and witness the original mission of the Communist Party of China to seek happiness for the Chinese and rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
