Su Xuelin was born in 1897 in Ruian, Zhejiang. She has loved to read since she was a child, but the Su family is an old-fashioned family, and still pursues the old-fashioned "women without talent is moral". When she first enrolled in the Anhui Provincial Junior Women's Normal School, she did everything in her power to get the stubborn elders in her family to let her go to school, and was taught by Hu Shi, Li Dazhao, Zhou Zuoren and others, and later went abroad to study.
During the study abroad period, the water and soil and the pressure of the family deeply oppressed her, and many people who studied abroad during the Republic of China, Su Xuelin also had her own favorite person in France, but forced by the pressure of the family, Su Xuelin could only marry the object that had been selected at home - Zhang Baoling. Although their hobbies are very different, this arranged marriage also had a good time in the beginning.
After marriage, they entered Soochow University in Suzhou to teach together, and lived in a small building with a foreigner couple, and their lives were also beautiful and comfortable.

2 Anti-Lu first person
Less than a month before Lu Xun's death, Su Xuelin wrote a critical letter, "On The Book of Lu Xun with Mr. Cai Xiaomin," in an attempt to give it to Cai Yuanpei to prevent him from becoming a member of the funeral committee. However, the friend thought that the content of the letter was inappropriate, so he did not forward it to Cai Yuanpei, who was ill. But Su Xuelin insisted on going his own way, and then forwarded the letter to Wuhan's "Bentao" magazine for public publication.
In this four-thousand-word critical letter, Su Xuelin's words were fierce and harsh, and she wrote that he pretended to "wear and wear loose clothes" and engage in "full popularization", but in fact he was "entangled in his waist and has been tired for a long time", and his eyes will be rewarded, and his pathological psychology is "a scum that insults Shi Lin's clothes and scum, and the treacherous villain that the twenty-four Shi Ru lin has passed on."
As soon as this letter was published, Su Xuelin immediately became the target of attacks by left-wing intellectuals. Even his mentor Hu Shi couldn't bear to look at it, and wrote a long letter of euphemism, "Lu Xun attacked us fiercely, in fact, why harm us in the slightest, we do not have to attack his private behavior, the evil emphasis of old literature, we should take deep precautions... This time it seems to rebuke you, but in fact, it is in the selfish interest of love, hoping to be forgiven. ”
But Su Xuelin did not heed Hu Shi's suggestion, and for many years thereafter, he continued to write articles attacking Lu Xun, and did not stop after going to Taiwan in 1949, but even more so.
In 1966, Su Xuelin even collected and published his own "anti-Lu" articles, called "I On Lu Xun." Until her death, Su Xuelin did not give up her "career". It can really be said that it has been "the first person to oppose Lu".

She once wrote in the article: "He scolded Mr. Hu as a 'high-ranking Chinese', 'Dr. Jin Yuan', 'pseudo-scholar', 'defender of imperial power', and when the anti-Japanese anger was rising, he took advantage of the situation to call Mr. Hu a 'traitor' and a 'traitor'... Hearing Lu Xun's words, the young people who are full of flesh and blood, isn't Mr. Hu's life in danger? That's why he slammed Lu Xun after his death.
But in my opinion, maybe Su Xuelin did not have hatred or respect for Lu Xun at all, before Lu Xun's death, she followed the flow to express her respect for Lu Xun, after Lu Xun's death she began to scold Lu Xun again, or maybe she just sought a better way to enhance her fame, and after her series of anti-Lu articles were published, her popularity and popularity also soared across the country, almost comparable to Lu Xun.
