Wujing Town is more than 30 miles away from Linqu City, which is the only place for Linqu to pass through Lunan Nanma and Laiwu, and its strategic position is very important. Therefore, the detachment attached great importance to this place, not only stationed a large number of troops, but also Deputy Commander Qian Jun was also personally stationed here, so that in an emergency, it could command the operation in time.

At about 2 o'clock on October 25, 1939, more than 400 Japanese puppet troops rushed to the town of Wujing for a long time, and the enemy first launched an attack on the commanding heights outside the town, Lotus Mountain, and soon expelled a small number of troops of our army on the hill from the position, and set up mortars on the mountain to shoot into the town, and at the beginning of the battle, our army was in an extremely unfavorable situation.

However, Deputy Commander Qian was not in danger, he first commanded the troops to repel the attack of the puppet army on the town, and took advantage of the gap between battles to interrogate the prisoners, and found out that the enemy troops who attacked had more than 40 Japanese troops, three or four hundred puppet troops, and the main force of the Japanese army used firepower on the mountain to support the puppet army to attack the town, so that the puppet army took the lead. So our army immediately decided to carry out various breakthroughs. First of all, our army rushed out of the town with some troops, detoured back to the flank of the puppet army to launch an attack on it, and combined with the shouting to shake the hearts of the puppet army, the puppet army could not attack for a long time in the face of our army's stubborn defense, morale was low, and then our army reinforcements arrived, under the internal and external attack, the captain of the puppet army was killed, the so-called deputy commander of the Lunan garrison Wang Deping was also seriously wounded, those puppet soldiers saw the death of the officer, wounded, morale completely collapsed, they left the Japanese army, left more than 100 corpses, and fled for their lives.

Seeing that the puppet army had collapsed, the Japanese army had to personally attack the East Gate. Under the cover of mortars and light and heavy machine guns, the Japanese launched a fierce attack on the East Gate, but several attacks were repelled by our army and began to decline, but the Japanese army was not willing to lose, and the two sides fell into a stalemate.
After dawn, our reinforcements arrived one after another and began to lay siege to the Japanese troops trapped on Lotus Mountain, our army used various false targets to continuously induce the other side to consume ammunition and expose its fire position, after our army's machine gun company was in place, the general attack on Lotus Mountain began, and our army's firepower suppressed the Japanese mortars and light and heavy machine guns. The Japanese army had run out of ammunition and could only counterattack our army with bayonets, and the soldiers engaged in hand-to-hand combat with the enemy. The Japanese army gradually fell short, so it had to take the road down the mountain and escape. Our army pursued the enemy in a graveyard at the foot of the northeast mountain of Lotus Mountain.
When the Japanese army saw that the breakthrough could not be achieved, the reinforcements could not wait, and they were confused until the end came, so they had to rely on the terrain to die and struggle. After reorganizing its forces, our army launched an all-out attack on the remnants of the enemy. After two chargees, the outer grave bag was captured, forcing the defending enemy to retreat into the center of the cemetery. Then our army launched another charge, and finally eliminated all the remnants of the enemy.

At this point, the Battle of Goi was victoriously over. In addition to killing more than 100 puppet troops, only one of the more than 40 Japanese troops was killed because he fell into a dry well and was taken prisoner. Our army captured 1 heavy machine gun, 4 light machine guns, 1 81 mm mortar, 2 grenadiers, more than 30 Type 38 large-cap rifles and a batch of grenades. Japanese Squadron Leader Kimo and Squad Leaders Iwai and Ishihihi were killed in this battle.
In order to further deal a political blow to the enemy and weaken his morale, our army washed and wrapped all the corpses left by the Japanese army, wrapped them in white cloth, and placed various propaganda materials on the corpses. Then, he sent a letter to the Japanese troops stationed in Linqu City asking the other side to collect the body.

A few days later, hundreds of Japanese troops came to collect the corpses, and after our army received information, the main force moved to the rujiazhuang and Xishan fronts, and waited in a strict position to prepare for another battle with the Japanese army.
