On December 17, Chery Group announced its latest sales target for 2022, ensuring annual sales of 1.5 million vehicles and striving for 2 million vehicles. Based on current sales (849,912 units from January to November), Chery Group is expected to have a total sales volume of around 950,000 units this year. To achieve the sales target of 2 million vehicles next year means that annual sales need to rise by 110% year-on-year. In terms of new cars, Chery Group will launch at least six new models next year, including OMODA 5, Tiggo 8 Pro, Tiggo 8 PLUS PHEV, the new generation of Arrizo, Tiggo 9 and Jetto X-1 production version.
According to the latest data, Chery Group sold 110,281 units in November, an increase of 24.8% month-on-month. By brand, Chery Automobile's november sales (including exports) were 76,560 units, an increase of 18.6% year-on-year; the sales volume (including exports) of high-end brand Xingtu was 5,189 units, an increase of 135.4% year-on-year; the cumulative sales volume of Jetour Automobile from January to November was 133,941 units, an increase of 30.3% year-on-year; and chery New Energy's cumulative sales from January to November were 88,911 units, an increase of 145.2% year-on-year.
Of the 6 models coming to market next year, the hottest one is the OMODA 5 coupe SUV. As the first product of Chery Automobile's OMODA series, the front face of the new car adopts a borderless mid-mesh design, and the interior is decorated by a polygonal structure, with a sneaky body shape, which is full of sport. In terms of power, OMODA 5 will be equipped with Kunpeng Power 1.6TGDI engine, and electric and hybrid versions will be launched in the future.
