Guangzhou, December 16 (China Youth Daily) -- Today, the first exhibition of young calligraphy and seal engraving works in Guangdong Province opened in Sui, and the exhibition of works focused on displaying a number of excellent works of calligraphy and seal carvings of young people in Guangdong. At the scene, the organizer presented awards to the award-winning young artists.

Liu Jianbo, chairman of the Guangdong Young Calligraphers Association, said that the Guangdong Young Calligraphers Association puts serving young people in the first place in its work. In addition to this exhibition, it also continued to organize brand activities such as "100 Calligraphy Charity Lectures", "Young Calligraphers Welcoming Spring Blessing Series Activities", "Guangdong Province's First Invitation Exhibition of Hand-scrolled Calligraphy Works of Young Calligraphy", and edited and issued 9 issues of Guangdong Youth Calligraphy Magazine, actively building a growth platform for young calligraphers.
Among the selected works, all the characters of the seal are available, and each work has different brushwork, orthography, chapter method, ink method, and shape system. The connotation of the work is rooted in tradition, diverse and inclusive. At the scene, the calligraphers exchanged views and stopped for a long time in front of the exquisite works.
The organizers said that the event aims to vigorously promote traditional culture among the vast number of young people, enhance cultural self-confidence, and comprehensively display the creative strength of youth calligraphy in Guangdong Province. Since the launch of the campaign, the organizers have received 1375 submissions from young calligraphers in Guangdong Province, and after the preliminary evaluation, re-evaluation and final evaluation of the jury, a total of 10 award-winning works, 20 nomination award works and 229 works in the exhibition have been evaluated.
Under the guidance of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Youth League, the exhibition is sponsored by the Guangdong Young Calligraphers Association. At the same time, 67 specially invited works from the Guangdong Calligraphers Association, the Guangdong Young Calligraphers Association and the Young Calligraphers Association of various cities in Guangdong Province were also exhibited. The exhibition is valid from now until 21 December.
