Brick kiln workers hand over national treasures, filling a historical gap and hiding a romantic love story behind them

Since ancient times, our country has experienced many dynasties, which have either prospered or declined, in short, each with its own characteristics. Among them, the most loved is the Tang Dynasty, because in the Tang Dynasty, China's national strength was very strong, ushering in the worship of many countries around it.

But what we want to talk about today is not this prosperous Tang Dynasty, but the Western Zhou Dynasty, which is famous for its sub-sealing system, and I think everyone has heard the saying "Zhou Tianzi". What impressed me the most was the sentence "Holding the Son of Heaven to Order the Princes" learned in the middle school texts, which actually vividly illustrated the social system at that time.

The princely states that everyone is familiar with are "Qi Chu Yan Han Zhao Wei Qin", in fact, in addition, there are some relatively small princely states, perhaps because their power is not so large, so they do not care much about some things that compete for fame and profit, so no one deliberately pays attention to them. For example, one of them, Ying Guo, even many experts and scholars doubt the authenticity of its existence, until the emergence of a cultural relic, the status of Ying Guo was recognized by everyone.

The origin of this cultural relic has to start from a brick kiln worker, in the late 1970s, the Baofeng County Cultural Center welcomed a brick kiln worker, and it is strange that he also brought a rare object, which is a bronze grate.

As soon as he arrived at the cultural center, he explained his intentions and asked the local staff how much the bronze guise he had brought was worth. However, there was no specific reply, because the staff of the cultural center could not estimate its value, but felt that the bronze guise should have a great origin, so they reported the matter to their superiors.

After receiving the news, the superior sent the corresponding expert to Baofeng County, and after the expert arrived, he wanted to find the worker to understand the situation, but he could not find anyone. In desperation, he went straight to his work unit to understand the situation, and later the workers told the experts that the worker had sold the bronze guise to the waste station, so the experts rushed to the waste station non-stop, fortunately, the bronze guise was not transported away.

It was this bronze grate that made the experts have an unexpected discovery. It turned out that the real name of this bronze gui was Deng Gonggui, which was excavated from the cemetery of Ying Guo, and was a cultural relic of the middle and late Western Zhou Dynasty, with a very long history. The entire gui is 21 centimeters high and 19 centimeters in caliber, which is the dowry vessel for the daughter of The King of Deng Guojun.

After the excavation of this cultural relic, the greatest value is to fill the gap in our research on Ying Guo, because the Ying Guo, a princely state, only exists in the records, and no real object can prove its real existence. And this Deng Gonggui is the first, so it plays a vital role in our study of the history of Yingguo.

In fact, this dowry object also witnesses an unusually romantic love story. It is said that Deng Mi, the daughter of the king of the State of Deng, traveled to Yingguo and was deeply attracted by the beauty of Yingguo, and even reached the point of lingering. And Deng Mibi is also a woman who is proficient in piano, chess, calligraphy and painting, and one night, she played her own "Phoenix Song" in the pavilion where she lived. Just as the affection was revealed, a gentle song drifted from a distance to make peace.

Later, for several consecutive nights, Deng Mibi would play this piece, and every night after that, there would be a concert of flutes, and it turned out that the person who blew the flute was Feng Hu, the son of The King of Ying. The two fell in love with each other, and also received the blessings of the parents of both sides, and later Deng Guogong gave Deng Gonggui to his beloved daughter as a dowry, so there was another good relationship in this world.
