On the way to the anti-Qing Dynasty, Su Sanniang met a like-minded partner, Hong Xiuquan, the initiator of the Cult of God, and Su Sanniang dealt with Hong Xiuquan when she led the fleet to deliver goods. She participated in the first Jintian Uprising of the Taiping Army, and then made great contributions in the battles of Xiangzhou in the north, Yong'an in the east, and Guilin.
During the Battle of Poyang Lake, she used her qigong to think of a strange trick and forced Zeng Guofan to commit suicide by diving. After entering Nanjing, Su Sanniang was even more proud of the spring breeze, and the Qing Dynasty emperor Long Qirui was also overwhelmed by it, and wrote a poem to record the situation at that time. Long Shi wrote: "The drums and horns of the city head are loud, the teeth and pawns are lined up with banners, the east and west families are stiff, and passers-by are vying to see Su Sanniang." Su Sanniang's beauty attracted the attention of everyone passing by, and perhaps they could not believe that this delicate beauty who should have been lying in the arms of the old man could be so heroic.
Hong Xiuquan did indeed give this great hero a good treatment, among the female generals, Su Sanniang's status was second only to Hong Xiuquan's sister. Su Sanniang met her second love in the military service, and the other party was an important leader of the Taiping Army, named Luo Gang. Luo Gang, like Su San, was a chivalrous warrior, a man of integrity, and robbing the poor and helping the rich was also a common thing for him.
The record of Su Sanniang in the main history stays at her marriage to Luo Gang, which is also a question for many people, and if the main history does not record it, then we can only speculate. Some people say that because Hong Xiuquan liked Su Sanniang, but Su Sanniang preferred to die, and then married Luo Gang, Hong Xiuquan must be very hateful, so he secretly solved the two of them. Some people also say that after Su Sanniang and Luo Gang got married, they did not want to live a life of fighting, killing and killing, and the couple found a place and lived in seclusion ever since.
The CCTV version of "Taiping Heavenly Kingdom" said that Su Sanniang and Luo Gang still struggled together in the military camp after they got married. Luo Gang was transferred to the Jiangxi front, and Su Sanniang was alone in Zhenjiang Town, where she often patrolled the city gates in order to confuse the enemy. However, the news that Luo Gang was not in the city was soon known to the enemy army, and the enemy forced a siege of the city. At that time, there were only more than a thousand old and weak remnants left in the city, but Su Sanniang still resisted the enemy's attack several times. The real defeat of her was not the enemy but herself, she was heartbroken when she heard the news that her husband Luo Gang had died on the battlefield, and she felt powerless in the face of more and more enemy troops, and finally gave up the struggle and swung her sword to commit suicide. After the Qing army entered the city, the leading general Zhang Shusheng admired Su Sanniang very much, so he ordered someone to bury her, and also found a note stained red with blood on her body, which read: Equality between men and women.
Su Sanniang is worthy of a hero, she has an excellent appearance but does not want to be in league with society, she is in and out of the battlefield as a pioneer and soldier, she has lost her husband twice but is still brave. It is not easy to admire herself, but Su Sanniang's enemies have given her a thumbs up, and Zeng Guofan once commented on Su Sanniang: "This is a heroine among women!" ”
