The drama "Four Generations Together" is adapted from Mr. Lao She's novel of the same name, focusing on the difficult life of ordinary people in the occupied areas of Peiping during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression. The story centers on the Beiping Xiaoyangquan Hutong, mainly the Qi family of the "four generations in the same hall" in the hutong, supplemented by the Qian family, the Guan family and other residents, presenting the complex contradictions and entanglements in the chaotic world, and depicting the sentient beings of all walks of life at that time.
The Drama Department specially invited Xu Butai, a national first-class actor and well-known performing artist, as the artistic director of the repertoire, to strictly control all aspects of the performance. Liu Tianzhen, a young teacher of the Department of Drama, served as the director, and Liu Tianzhen, Tang Junrui, Liu Zhenyan, and Yu Lan served as the performance director.
