The car wandered through the mountain road to the Guanshui Town Martyrs' Cemetery in Kuandian County, Liaoning Province, where 195 unknown martyrs who died in the Battle of Xinkailing were buried. Gong Bing, deputy director of the Liaoshen Campaign Memorial Hall, came to each tomb to offer sweeping, silent mourning, and filming registration.

On December 13, the fourth collection of martyrs' information at the Liaoshen Battle Memorial Hall was completed. The two research groups rushed to eight cities in Liaoji and Liaoning provinces, with a total journey of more than 6,200 kilometers, adding more than 1,500 information on famous martyrs and more than 3,000 information on unknown martyrs, and found burial places for more than 2,000 famous martyrs.

Why is it that the wind and snow are looking for the graves of martyrs? On November 2, on the occasion of the victory of the Liaoshen Campaign and the 73rd anniversary of the liberation of Northeast China, the country's first information inquiry system for revolutionary martyrs of the Northeast Liberation War was officially launched at the Liaoshen Battle Memorial Hall. The next day, Song Weibin, whose ancestral home is Laizhou, Shandong Province, inquired through the system to Zhao Honghai, a relative of the martyr who had long since lost his news. "Grandma said that my two uncles were martyrs, one died to resist the United States and aid Korea, and the other has never been traced, and now I have finally fulfilled her last wish." Song Weibin said.

In 1992, in order to meet the needs of the survivors of the martyrs to find their relatives, the Liaoshen Campaign Memorial Hall organized personnel to compile the names of 54,477 revolutionary martyrs of the Northeast Liberation War into a book, which became the main basis for inquiring about the information of the revolutionary martyrs of the Northeast Liberation War. However, due to the conditions at that time, the information of the martyrs was incomplete, and many martyrs only had names and places of origin. "For the relatives of the martyrs, the martyrs' tombs are much more important than the name, and many visitors hope to help them find the burial place." Gong Bing told reporters, "Zhao Shuzhi, the daughter of martyr Zhao Deyuan, is 75 years old this year, and since the 1990s, she has traveled to every martyr's cemetery, bent on finding her father's remains. ”

Visited 140 relevant exhibition halls and martyrs' cemeteries in Liaoning, Jilin, Heilongjiang, Hebei and Inner Mongolia to collect information on more than 29,200 martyrs... "Stupid Method" found the answer for the martyrs' families. The elderly Liang Jiying, the widow of the martyr Liang Shiying, bowed deeply when he saw Gong Bing and said, "Thank you!" I thank you on behalf of all the martyrs' families! ”

The red bloodline is endless. On the way to the Liaoshen Battle Memorial Hall to pursue the martyrs, the folk volunteers also actively participated: Yang Ning, a retired employee of the Tai'an County Museum in Anshan City, has been searching for the martyrs since 2007 and has found relatives for hundreds of martyrs; Zhang Dedong, a retired employee of the Dahushan Town Government in Heishan County, Jinzhou City, has spent 15 years walking through more than 960 villages in Heishan County and moving the remains of more than 100 martyrs into the martyrs' cemetery...
