At first, only luxury cars and SUVs were equipped with the ADAS system, which made driving safer. After Mobileye's unremitting efforts, the ADAS system based on pure vision came out, and ordinary cars have affordable computer vision technology. This is where Mobileye's mission has been since its inception, and that's why today's ADAS security systems are ubiquitous.

Today, most of the cars in production are equipped with this advanced safety technology, and sales from the ADAS business account for about 60% of Mobileye's total sales in the past four years. Studies have shown that basic passive ADAS features, such as Front Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Blind Spot Detection, can effectively reduce the number of collisions and the severity of accidents, all pioneered by Mobileye.

Development history: EyeQ chip shipments exceeded 100 million

Mobileye made ADAS an affordable technology, and because of this, the ADAS system was able to move from an optional feature in luxury cars to a standard feature in vehicles around the world. And this, too, is a milestone worth celebrating.
