The CPU (Central Processing Unit) is the computing and control center of computer systems, and since its introduction in 1971, the CPU has evolved to a 64-bit processor, and the range of applications has been continuously expanded. In today's high-performance computer demand is strong and increasingly inseparable, the CPU has become an indispensable strategic material. So, how strong are domestic CPU companies? Is there the ability to compete with foreign CPU giants?

Recently, Wang Rui, senior vice president of Intel and chairman of China, said a heart-wrenching remark in an interview with the media. Wang Rui said, "At present, there are no local companies in China that can pose a real threat to Intel, but if Chinese local companies can do a solid job in their own designs, they will be competitive in the future."
Between Wang Rui's words, he revealed his disdain for China's local CPU companies and was very confident in the strength of Intel.
Intel was founded in 1968, and after decades of development, Intel has developed into a giant in the CPU industry. In the 2020 Global 2000 list, Intel ranked 38th with its strong strength.
In 1985, Intel entered the Chinese market. In the Chinese market for 37 years, Intel has expanded its territory and developed in a strong way, occupying a monopoly position. According to the financial report, intel revenue in the Chinese market in 2021 is 21.14 billion US dollars, and China has become the largest source of Intel for 7 consecutive years. On the other hand, this highlights China's deep dependence on Intel products.
After all, Intel is a US company, and the development of domestic CPUs is the most important. At present, there are 6 good enterprises in the CPU field in China, namely Huawei Kunpeng, Feiteng CPU, Haiguang CPU, Loongson, Zhaoxin, and Shenwei.
Huawei Kunpeng and Feiteng CPU use the ARM architecture, Loongson uses MIPS architecture, Mega core and Haiguang CPUs use X86 architecture, and Shenwei uses Alpha architecture. Due to different architectures, many cannot be applied to Windows systems and cannot replace Intel's products. Coupled with the fact that there is a big gap between product performance and Intel CPU, mainstream notebooks rarely use domestic CPUs.
Although the domestic CPU can be replaced in the server field, it can only replace part of it, and the performance after the replacement will be affected. Therefore, the personal PC field is inseparable from a series of advanced equipment products of American companies.
In today's era of technology, electronic devices are basically inseparable. If the core of the electronic device is not autonomous, the future may be in trouble. Therefore, it is important to insist on self-reliance. No matter in which field, we must firmly take the road of independent production.
