Xiaopeng shows the "ultimate flying sports car" Western media: the appearance is outstanding and powerful

Reference news network reported on December 15 that the Spanish "Abezai" website recently reported that Xiaopeng recently launched the "ultimate flying supercar", which is scheduled to be listed in 2024.

In the current automotive market, companies are no longer scrambling to launch flying cars, but although the media is full of various prototypes such as flying motorcycles, flying taxis and even flying buses, it is time to compete in terms of design and revenue.

Chinese automaker Xiaopeng showcased a new prototype of the 6th-generation flying car developed by Xiaopeng Huitian, its subsidiary for urban air mobility, which has many reasons to surprise anyone, although its design may change as it enters the production phase.

Xiaopeng shows the "ultimate flying sports car" Western media: the appearance is outstanding and powerful

First of all, it looks outstanding. The prototype is futuristic, but it also doesn't abandon the more aggressive design of the traditional road supercar, with large semi-fairing wheels and large air intakes. In addition, one of its main features is that it is a vehicle that can also be driven on the road. That is, users will be able to drive quietly in the lane while unfolding the large wings with two propellers hidden under the body, turning them into vertical take-off and landing vehicles.

Safety is one of the most important aspects, so the car will have a variety of elements that will guarantee safety, including parachutes.

The interior of its carriages is designed with the latest technology. Its centre console is minimalist and includes the highest level of infotainment, touch buttons and a joystick that can drive the car in airplane mode. Details about the technical specifications have not yet been revealed, but judging from the images, there is no doubt that it will be a fairly powerful car. The hope of its creators is that the hybrid vehicle will be able to autonomously and intelligently plan flight paths.

Xiaopeng showed off the car during the company's Tech Day in October this year, and they also took the opportunity to show off the latest version of its advanced driver assistance system. Xiaopeng hopes to launch the car in 2024, but first the company will have to deal with a series of regulatory and safety assessments, which will not be easy. To finance the project, the company raised $500 million, or about 441 million euros, from multiple outside investors, including well-known venture capital firms. According to the Advanced Air Traffic Reality Index, this figure makes Xiaopeng Huitian the fifth most funded electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft company in the world.
